So the design had to reflect the long history behind and at the same time to stand out from the previous brand.

The new one is a public institution held by Tuscany Region which recognised the exceptional cultural value of the Alinari holdings and resolved to purchase them and began an operation of cultural policy and investment, which has saved this archive, one unique in the world for its size and value, from dispersal and dismemberment, while also guaranteeing its future use and accessibility.
