- The hotel uses energy saving LED lights with high color rendering index to clearly display elements with their proper color. The lights are dimmable with 3000K color temperature warm white in public areas while 2700K in guestrooms to make guests comfortable and even virtually detaching the unique, distinctive and iconic canopy bed frame from the wall and the ceiling.

- The lighting considered local cultural elements inside the hotel. The lobby features both by a pendant inspired by the Osmanthus (local flower traditionally planted in front of homes to welcome guests) and heron light sculptures inspired by birds found at the Jinsha lake. Behind the front desk, waves of the Qiantang river are revealed via hidden LED lights. A back lit floor number reminds guests they are on guestroom floors. In guestrooms, the iconic canopy bed frame virtually detaches itself from the wall and ceiling through hidden lights.

The lobby features both by a pendant inspired by the Osmanthus (local flower traditionally planted in front of homes to welcome guests) and heron light sculptures inspired by birds found at the adjacent Jinsha lake. Behind the front desk, waves of the Qiantang river are revealed via hidden LED lights; other decorative wall panels of the hotel feature aquatic plants and marsh birds, immersing guests in the nature of Hangzhou.
