Samsa 사진 예술 작품 소개

〈삼사(Samsa)〉는 연작 〈방치(Neglect)〉에 속한 사진 예술 작품이다. 이 연작은 대부분 멸종했거나 심각한 멸종 위기에 처한 곤충들의 보존 표본을 보여준다. 이미지는 디지털 카메라 시스템과 105mm 매크로 렌즈로 촬영되었다. 멀티샷 기능을 활용하여 1억 8,500만 화소에 이르는 초대용량 파일을 생성했다. 또한 손상되기 쉬운 표본을 거의 만지지 않고 촬영할 수 있도록 소형 탁상 스튜디오를 제작했다. 프린트는 두 가지 크기의 한정판으로 제작된다. 이 작업의 목적은 곤충이 지닌 독특한 아름다움을 드러내고 곤충 멸종 문제에 대한 관심을 환기하는 데 있다.

Part of the collection NEGLECT, photographed specimens of animals, most of which are extinct or critically endangered.
I want to show a little bit of the sometimes bizarre beauty of the insects, so that the viewer might see them with different eyes.
Because insect extinction is very real and not a made-up story.

생산 기술: Digital photography with the Leica SL2 system and a 105mm Macro lens.
The photographer used the "Multishot" function of the Leica System to produce giant 185 megapixel pictures of these little creatures.
디자인 과제: The hardest part was to invent a small table-top-studio situation to photograph the little very fragile prepared insects. The photographer wanted to touch them as little as possible because the preparations are very fragile.
영감: Insect extinction is very real and not a made-up story.

Florian W. Mueller worked before with the Senckenberg Institute on a project about mammals.
프로젝트 기간: The planning took about half a year, in total it was four days on site to photograph. The post production took another two weeks.
운영 흐름: The photographer asked for the permission to photograph these sometimes very rare or extinct insects in the institute in Brandenburg near Berlin in Germany. Then he got to work there with great support.
