'빛의 흐름을 따라(Along the Streams of Light)'는 대만 타이중에 위치한 265제곱미터 규모의 한식당 인테리어 디자인이다. 이 공간은 브라운과 그레이 톤의 석재와 목재를 조화롭게 결합했다. 패턴과 선, 불규칙한 절단면이 의례적인 분위기를 자아낸다. 곡선형 라인 조명과 목재 바닥에서 석재 바닥으로 이어지는 전환부가 공간 사이의 동선을 자연스럽게 유도한다. 주방은 반개방형으로 바 카운터와 함께 배치되어, 유리 패널을 통해 조리 과정을 볼 수 있다. 리드 글라스와 높은 통유리창은 프라이버시를 유지하면서도 자연광을 실내로 끌어들인다.

고유 특성: Integrating the restaurant's visual identity and the combination of the color palette, features of stone and wood, the harmonious environment is created to be with a great balance between bulkiness and gentleness.

생산 기술: The half-circle plaza in front of the facade of the restaurant and the tilted staircases with embedded light strips contribute to a sense of earnestness. The quotation-mark-shaped wooden frame and the diamond shape pattern on the door panel with diverse use of colors create an exotic feeling that eventually attracts visual focus and attention. In addition, the reeded glass panel is applied to maintain privacy while ensuring the introduction of natural lighting.
디자인 과제: The great-sized floor-to-ceiling glass panels and the shading ensure immense introduction of sunlight while maintaining the privacy for the customers to feel comfortable eating. The illumination of the space is improved while it does not become too harsh to the eye. The overall open-floor plan and the translucency increases the use of electricity during the day.
연구: The embedded light strips in the kitchen and dining areas serve to divide and to guide the flow subconsciously. The kitchen is designed to be semi-open-plan with a bar counter arrangement. Through the transparent glass panels, customers can easily look into the kitchen for the smoked barbeque display and the cooking process. The suspended shelving allows convenient arrangement of utensils that gives a sense of neatness to the restaurant.
영감: The naming of the restaurant "Ribbon" symbolizes a festive atmosphere on special days and holidays. With use of patterns, lines, irregular cuts, and rhythmic combination, the designer creates a sense of ceremony with a great amount of natural lighting that expands the visual perception with consistency. The precise yet fluid interior lighting design adds elegance to the ambience in shades of brown and gray.
프로젝트 기간: This project is finished in October 2020 in Taichung, Taiwan.
운영 흐름: Entering the restaurant, one can immediately sense that the designer reinterprets and repackages the Korean cuisine with a modern technique and semi-industrial style. A consistent design language with diverse changes of lighting and volumes are the main elements that weaved into the gene of the space. The curved light strips and the flooring transitions between wooden and stone materials both contribute to an intuitive sense of spatial transition.
