Speech Bubbie 書体について

Speech Bubbieは、ラテン文字と漢字のためにデザインされた書体である。吹き出しはコミックの台詞表現に用いられるグラフィック上の約束事であり、文字の形状もまた書かれた言葉に感情を与える。この二つのグラフィック要素の関連性から、コミックの形式に基づいた文字と漢字の新しい構造が生まれた。ストロークは一般的な吹き出しの形へと単純化されているが、元のストロークの方向性は保たれているため、可読性が損なわれることはない。この書体はまず手描きで制作され、その後ベクターソフトウェアによって仕上げられた。

Similarly,fonts connote emotions in writing.Realising the connection between these two graphic elements,designers borrowed the form from comic books to reformulate the structure of alphabets and Chinese characters. Strokes are simplified into generic forms of speech bubbles while still following the direction of the original strokes,therefore retaining the readability of the character.
