Drive2Extremes Multivision 写真アート作品について

Drive2Extremes Multivisionは、2つの極限的な風景を1枚の画像に融合させた写真アート作品のシリーズである。ポルシェ・タイカンクロスツーリスモは、まず北極圏の北に位置するラップランドの凍結した湿原で撮影された。その2週間後、同じ車両をアラブ首長国連邦のアラビア砂漠へと運び、カメラに対して同一の位置関係、かつ類似した太陽の位置のもとで配置した。そして、この2つの光景を多重露光の技法によって融合させている。目的は、極地と砂漠の情景を一枚の画像の中に共存させることであった。本アート作品は複数のサイズで制作された。

独自の特性: I had the wonderful opportunity to bring together the two extremes of the Northern Polar Region in Levi, Finland and the Arabian Desert in Liwa, United Arab Emirates with the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo. These are some of the results.

I first photographed the Taycan in the polar region, then placed it exactly the same, same perspective, camera angle, etc. in the desert and applied my multivision mojo.

製造技術: I first placed and photographed the Porsche on a frozen bog in Lapland, north of the Arctic Circle, and two weeks later in the same position relative to the camera and at a similar position of the sun in the Arabian desert. These two images were then fluidly built together.
デザインの課題: The challenge was to position the car in the exact same angle, height, etc. And in the desert you have to work quite fast, due to the very fast sunset and sundown.
リサーチ: The research was mainly about the weather and the times of sunset and sunrise. Also in resaerching the area and locations and how to protect the cameras from sand, dust and snow and how we could work at -30 degrees Celsius and +45 degrees Celsius with our equipment...
インスピレーション: I worked before for Porsche as a commercial photographer. As an artist I often work with multiple exposure photography. Porsche Middel East produced a highly acclaimed film Drive2Extrems, bringing the two locations desert and polar region together. I worked before with the executive people from Porsche in Shanghai and produced there multiple exposure Artworks for the Photofairs Shanghai. In the new project I wanted to combine the two regions in one picture.
プロジェクト期間: It took 2 weeks of photo-production in Finland and the UAE desert and 2 weeks of post-production.
オペレーションフロー: I knew the places and locations but I had to decide on location on which time I wanted to shoot, due to sunset or sunrise. In Finland it was quite easy, sunset and sunrise take about 2 hours and more. In the desert in the UAE it was more difficult: sunrise and sunset are done in less than 30 minutes...
