19 June 2026 · ZT Series Funzione Primaria: Condizionatore d'Aria Residenziale
The decision to adopt an understated, yet crisp aesthetic for the ZT Series was driven by our desire to elevate the air conditioner from a purely functional appliance to an integral, harmonious element within living spaces. Homes increasingly favour minimalistic and refined interiors, and we wanted the ZT Series to complement that environment—not just blend in, but to add an element of charm.Balancing this seamless exterior with the rigorous engineering requirements of a high-performance climate system was a significant challenge. Our design and engineering teams collaborated closely together to optimize internal structural components, ensuring sufficient strength and durability without compromising serviceability. We employed modular design principles and innovative joining techniques that allowed us to maintain the clean, uninterrupted surface while accommodating the complex mechanical components inside. This joint effort resulted in a design that visually embodies airflow and lightness, achieving both aesthetic elegance and technical excellence.
The ZT Series addresses the critical issue of indoor air quality—especially relevant in dense urban environments—through a high-performance multi-layer allergen filtration system, designed to effectively capture pollen, dust and fine particulate matter. Additionally, the optional ion generator further enhances air purification by neutralizing airborne viruses and harmful substances, thereby creating a cleaner and healthier indoor atmosphere. We recognize that our responsibility extends far beyond temperature control; we are custodians of the health and well-being of users who engage with our products daily. The air quality management features of the ZT Series embody this commitment, reflecting a holistic approach that prioritizes long-term health benefits and improved quality of life for families worldwide.
Achieving an ultra-low noise level of 19 dB(A) in a compact yet powerful unit was a significant engineering challenge, addressed through aerodynamic refinement of the fan blades and precise speed control to minimize turbulence and vortex formation—primary sources of noise. Complementing this, the newly designed air outlet enables airflow to reach up to 11 meters, allowing for more powerful and efficient distribution of cool or warm air. This optimized airflow path also reduces air resistance and noise, further enhancing the unit’s near-silent operation. From the user’s perspective, such near-silence profoundly elevates the quality of the living environment by eliminating distractions that could disrupt sleep, conversation, or concentration. Quiet operation thus transcends convenience to become a vital contributor to comfort and wellbeing in everyday life.
Winning the Golden A' Design Award is a profound honour that validates the ZT Series as a product that harmonizes innovation with genuine societal value. The award’s emphasis on energy efficiency, noise reduction, aesthetic integration and technological advancement aligns perfectly with our human-centric design philosophy—one that places user comfort, health and lifestyle at the core of every design decision. This international recognition not only elevates the ZT Series’ global brand presence but also reinforces our commitment to continuous innovation guided by user needs. We anticipate that this visibility will accelerate our development roadmap, encouraging the expansion of the product range with features and designs that further enhance user experience, sustainability and technological sophistication. Ultimately, it motivates us to set new standards for residential HVAC solutions worldwide.
Addressing the challenge of maintaining the same external dimensions while improving performance, reducing noise and reserving space for optional components required a highly integrated engineering approach. One key breakthrough was reducing the copper tube diameter in the heat exchanger from ø6.35 to ø5 mm, which allowed us to increase the number of rows within the heat exchanger. This denser configuration significantly enlarged the heat exchanger’s contact surface area, increasing its total volume within the same footprint and thereby improving overall thermal efficiency without enlarging the unit size.In parallel, our in-house engineered fan was optimized for both efficiency and airflow. After testing hundreds of blade shape and angle combinations, we identified the design that maximized performance, while minimizing noise and vibration. This precise aerodynamic tuning contributed not only to quieter operation but also to enhanced airflow distribution within the compact unit.Together, these innovations, combined with a modular internal layout and streamlined wiring and piping, enabled us to overcome spatial constraints without sacrificing the ZT Series’ crisp exterior or its ambitious goals for efficiency and serviceability. This holistic, detail-oriented approach exemplifies how the close collaboration between design and engineering can deliver a compact, high-performance product that meets modern requirements.
The multi-year development of the ZT Series involved extensive, direct engagement with professional installers across multiple countries—a practice that helped crystalise our design approach. These real-world conversations revealed practical installation challenges and user needs that would have been difficult to anticipate purely in laboratory or specification-driven conditions. For example, installers highlighted the difficulty of accessing key internal components during maintenance in tight residential spaces. This insight led us to redesign the internal layout with improved modularity and easier panel removal, significantly enhancing serviceability without compromising the unit’s sleek exterior. Such feedback underscored the importance of field-based research, ensuring the product is not only innovative but also pragmatic and installer-friendly.
The ZT Series is engineered to heat even when outdoor temperatures drop to -20°C, ensuring reliable and powerful performance on very cold days. This capability reflects our strong commitment to climate adaptability. Looking forward, we see these design principles—robust low-temperature operation, energy efficiency and consistent reliability—as the foundation for the next generation of thermal comfort products. Future advancements may involve the use of advanced refrigerants and adaptive control algorithms that optimize performance across diverse climates and user behaviours. Additionally, integrating smart predictive technologies will further enhance seasonal efficiency and user comfort. Nonetheless, challenges remain, particularly in refining cold-climate defrost cycles and minimizing energy consumption during extreme conditions, representing key frontiers for ongoing innovation in residential HVAC systems.
The ZT Series embodies a design philosophy where aesthetic intention and engineering rigor are truly integrated. The understated softness of the front panel harmonizes with the precise engineering in components such as the compressor, which is manufactured with very tight tolerances to ensure high performance and reliability. Our vision is that ZT Series communicates to the broader design community that it is entirely possible—and indeed essential—to pursue charm and functionality as inseparable goals. This project exemplifies how meticulous engineering and refined aesthetics can coexist without compromise. One often overlooked aspect of the ZT Series development is the depth of interdisciplinary collaboration among designers, engineers and manufacturing teams, which was critical to achieving this balance. This collaborative spirit is a powerful reminder that innovation flourishes when diverse expertise is aligned toward a shared vision.
The decision to provide precise control over both vertical and horizontal louvers was driven by our commitment to delivering highly personalized airflow experiences that could adapt to diverse room layouts and individual preferences. This feature reflects our broader philosophy that sophisticated engineering should remain invisible to users, enhancing comfort without adding complexity. By enabling fine-tuned directional airflow, the system optimizes thermal comfort and energy efficiency in everyday use. This subtle engineering sophistication demonstrates how advanced technologies can be seamlessly integrated to enrich user experience while maintaining simplicity and ease of operation.
Our commitment to rigorous laboratory testing, durability verification and thorough factory quality control is deeply connected to the ZT Series’ design language and its promise of long-term reliability. Extensive evaluation tests in diverse real-world environments have validated the product’s performance and durability, ensuring it meets high global standards. Complementing this, regular employee training and stringent quality management within the factory maintain consistent production excellence. By integrating comprehensive testing, continuous workforce development, and meticulous quality control into the manufacturing process, we demonstrate that scalable production can coexist with precision and care, ultimately delivering consistent quality and reliability to customers worldwide.
