Grand Interview

30 June 2026 · Twilight Interior design di uno spazio commerciale

We aim to create an interior space that engages in dialogue with the environment, extending the spatial design from the interior to the entire street. Large windows allow for ample natural light, while also providing unobstructed views of the interior from the outside. This adds a touch of modern landscape imagery to the urban streetscape. Before entering the space, the view unfolds from the outside, and the concept of "mountains are not mountains" spreads from the interior to the cityscape.

In the store's corporate philosophy, every customer is a VIP who deserves to be treated with utmost hospitality. They hope that through a single drink, customers can experience the culture and hard work behind traditional chicken essence and its emphasis on health. While promoting healthy living, they also contribute to a more aesthetically pleasing community space. To make customers feel at home, we utilize the long, narrow space. Upon entering, customers are immediately drawn to the tall, stylish lattice screen. A central display case showcases the store's most prized products. Following the flow of movement, customers can directly reach the tasting area, which offers a panoramic view of the entire store. Seating is positioned directly opposite the company logo, supported by custom-made velvet wall panels, providing an ideal opportunity for a complete store tour.

Inspired by the product of chicken bouillon, the translucent gold element flows through the space, set against a backdrop of pristine white marble. Velvet fabric allows the corporate blue to subtly shine through, further highlighting the overall corporate image through the gold element. We conducted extensive research on materials, carefully selecting fabrics, stone, and gold metals, and considering the different surface textures, all of which are reflected in this design.

Against the backdrop of the walls and environment, a stage is needed to showcase the main products at once. The royal blue counter at the center of the space, like a white stone plate slowly emerging from the marble floor, becomes the visual focus and further enhances the unique products.

The interior grilles, using varying thicknesses, materials, and colors of wooden strips, create the illusion of majestic mountains, draped in a golden cloak that shines brightly. Through the golden reflections, the outdoor streetscape and natural landscape intertwine with the forest, gradually warming the otherwise cold interior building materials. We use mirrors and the reflectivity of metal to create a new sensory world within the space; it is a multi-dimensional expansion.

We wanted our space to go beyond just 25 square meters. Utilizing the characteristics of the space, with its large windows providing excellent natural light and visual openness, we envisioned the large windows as picture frames, hoping to add a touch of elegance to the streetscape through interior design.

Through contemporary design, we attempt to evoke a sense of being surrounded by nature during the 30-minute long beverage experience provided by the store. Customers’ attention is guided by the contrasting color palette that dominates the storefront into the center of the interior. Inside, large titanium lattices reflect the hubbub of city streets, and at the same time, invoke longing for nature in people’s mind. Desire, imagination and reality intertwine, creating a kaleidoscope of reflections and imagery,We have successfully achieved the connection between customers and products through design. Upon entering the space, customers feel their expectation and identification with the products increase. They can appreciate the atmospheric surrounding while enjoy the chicken essence.

From proposal to completion, it took about a year. Throughout the entire proposal process, the client presented us with many challenges in terms of design discussions, selection of building materials, and budget review. We needed to do a lot of research on materials, carefully selecting everything from velvet fabrics to stone, in order to achieve the final product.

Chicken essence is a natural and healthy food for Chinese people. We also hope to incorporate the imagery of mountains and forests into the store in a modern way, based on the store's spirit of starting from the raw materials. We want to transform the store's concept through spatial imagery, establish brand thinking from the visual perspective, and attract customers to come in and deeply understand the ideal that the company wants to convey.

Thank you for the reviewers' recognition. The most important thing in interior design is the connection between the product and the space. Under the premise of interpreting the corporate culture and image, we hope that the space can enhance the overall corporate image through the planned circulation and the selection of materials. We also hope that in addition to designing the space, we can also create a dialogue between the environment and the space.
