7 January 2025
I learned most about design not at school but at the first packaging design studio I worked at, where I learned processes and ways of thinking while on the job.
I've always enjoyed imagining things around me and thinking, "It would be better if they were like this." I wanted to become a designer, not just to imagine, but to make them a reality.
I wanted to be a designer.
Logos, flyers and other graphics
I think it's important to keep making things without giving up.
A great designer is someone who can not only provide good designs but also suggest new ideas.
It fits the atmosphere of the times.
It can help you improve your brand image and sales.
Original patterns and templates. I believe that there is someone out there who will like them.
Creating my own home to make designing more enjoyable
Having acquaintances who appreciate and like my designs.

Traditional Japanese family crests.
They have continued to exist without fading even after many years.
They have continued to exist without fading even after many years.
Observe designs that you think are good or not so good, and keep thinking about what you think is good about them and what you need to fix to make them better. However, everyone has different tastes. I try not to lose my humility because I'm not always right.
I would like to be involved in design in some way, like working at a select shop.
Something that makes life convenient and enriches it.The joy of life.
The agency's producers, sales staff, and other team members involved in the work.
The Japanese proverb "Persistence is power" came to mind.
The mannerism of my own designs.
In my case, I usually cannot publish my client work due to confidentiality agreements, so I think it's better to create and publish private work.
Although I cannot confirm this myself, my goal is to create a logo or design that will last for over 100 years.
It helps you organize a chaotic world and create a comfortable environment.
Generative AI is causing copyright infringement of creators' copyrights, and I hope a good solution can be found.

Enjoying everyday life
I think design and trends are intertwined.
It saves time. Sometimes it gives me inspiration.
Adobe CC, Desktop PC, iPad
I wonder what kind of people were involved in making it.
I don't have an ideal design partner, but I do believe in co-design.
The person who had the biggest influence on me was the chief of the design studio where I first worked.
Kenya Hara
A friend in the design industry who I hardly ever get a chance to meet.
I was very honored to receive the award at a time when I had lost confidence in myself.
White and red, places with sunlight filtering through the trees, sushi, early summer, ceramic objects,MUJI
When I was just starting out as a designer, my aunt, who loves fashionable things, brought back a package of sweets that I designed as a souvenir. I was so thrilled that she chose the product without even knowing anything about it.
Get plenty of sleep.
I wanted to be a designer, but I never thought about it that far.
I'm pessimistic about the global environment. I hope global warming doesn't get any worse. Maybe in 1,000 years, we'll be able to migrate to other planets? It seems like the design will evolve to a cosmic scale.

I'm amazed at the progress of generative AI. I think there will be a return to analog someday, but I can't imagine what that will look like.
I live in Japan. I feel influenced by the country's cultural heritage. The advantage is its simplicity. The disadvantage is that it lacks global appeal.
I usually receive orders through an agency, but sometimes we take orders directly.
Proper white space and balance
Observe the details while also analyzing objectively from a bird's-eye view

Logo creation. Some logos are only used for a short time, but if we're lucky, there's a chance they'll be loved for 100 years to come, and that's what makes it so romantic.
I'm developing it myself.

Grand Interview
25 November 2024 · Decorative Japanese Cord Icons Simboli Di Celebrazione
Traditional Japanese cord ornaments are a common motif for Japanese-style celebrations. The idea for developing the symbol came to me when I was looking at gift envelopes with three-dimensional, ingeniously decorated knots in a store.
Started by stretching, transforming, and arranging the traditional knots that have been passed down since ancient times. I chose motifs from Japanese lucky charms. After that, it was a process of trial and error.
I had a hard time expressing the tightly packed parts. It may have been difficult to create it using actual cord, but I ignored that and prioritized the "atmosphere" of the appearance.
I don't know if people who are not familiar with Japanese culture would understand the feeling of celebration, but I'm sure Japanese people would understand. I think it's one of the cultural symbols that is ingrained in the DNA of the Japanese people.
The vision is still in the back of my mind, but unfortunately it's stalled. However, I haven't given up, so I'll continue to think about it.
I would be honored if I could be an attractive bridge between traditional crafts and modern graphic design. To be honest, I don't think it will have a big impact, but I think it will be a success if people can feel a sense of Japaneseness in it, even if it is far from the orthodox traditional crafts.
Accurate line thickness is important, but I don't pursue the realism (thickness) of a real piece. I design by trusting my own senses, making use of optical illusions.
To be honest, I don't know if I have made any contribution, but I would be honored if receiving the A'design Award has provided an opportunity for people from cultural backgrounds other than Japan to learn about one aspect of Japanese culture.
The meaning of the butterfly motif: immortality, beauty. Because a caterpillar turns into a chrysalis and then a beautiful butterfly, the butterfly motif has been a symbol of rebirth and immortality in Japan. The Japanese word for "butterfly" is pronounced the same as "long," so it also represents longevity.
I would like to continue expanding the concept, and challenge myself to create a design that is small enough to be used as an icon on social media, and that has a Japanese feel even though it is small.
