About Reconstruct Posters

Reconstruct is a set of posters designed to encourage reconnection within a community. The first poster uses graphic filling and stacking to show an anxious person. The second builds a box shape as a symbol of a camera that records a moment of change. The third redraws the form of a Gambiered Canton Gauze Zongzi with lines and rectangles, and these lines also stand for the links between people. The posters are printed in A2 size on paper and are also prepared for digital displays and animated versions on social media.

About Haku Wang

Working as a graphic designer and freelancer, the designer is living in a small town. After graduating from college with a degree in Civil Engineering, he found himself a greater interest in graphic design and then switched careers. However, the past experience he gained from Civil Engineering has always inspired him the preference of using geometric figures in design. He also loves to experiment the possibility of glocalization in design. Apart from that, the designer often questions and explores when re-examining the past design works.

Inspiration
Since the outbreak of the epidemic, people have been forced to live in small-scale communities and are under tremendous mental pressure. The design, which was inspired by Kandinsky’s research on points, lines, planes and colors, aims to build a new bridge between thinking and vision. With the use of these fundamental elements, it reconstructs a new way of perceiving the world and arouses people’s urge to interact and communicate.
