Regarding The Sun From The East Event Image Design

The Sun From The East is an event image design created for a design university. The sun is used as the main visual element, because the sun rises in the east and reflects both the name of the school and its steady yearly growth. Circles and other geometric figures form the basic elements, and the composition was changed through long testing. The design is applied to posters, books and invitation cards. Bright film and fog film were applied to selected areas during printing to highlight the graphics. The posters measure 70 by 100 centimeters.

About Chia-Hui Lien

Tang-Hsuan Lien, born in 1976 in Taiwan, acts as the Creative Director of Yi Jia Visual Identity Design Co.,LTD now. Her professional fields of design include brand design, graphic design, packaging design, book design, and exhibition visual design. She designs various design projects for customers from each and all sections, including Kaohsiung Rapid Transit, Bureau of Cultural Affairs Kaohsiung City Government, China Steel Corporation (CSC),Taiwan Power Company, Kaohsiung City History Museum. She is a very good designer and has won many international design awards every year.

Unique Properties: The use of geometric figures for structural change design requires a lot of time and testing during the conversion process.
Inspiration: This work takes the sun as the main visual design. Because the sun rises from the east, it is like the Tung Fang Design University. The sun rises from the east. Every year, the development of the school is getting better. Therefore, the circle of geometric figures was used as the basic element of the design, and the composition was changed.
Research: In order to enable the school to continue to develop every year, design is the main academic development of the school, and the innovative ideas of design are brought together to continue the educational work. This work takes the sun as the main visual design. Because the sun rises from the east, it symbolizes the Oriental Design University. The sun rises from the east. Every year, the sun gets better and better. The development of the school is getting better and better. Therefore, the circle of the geometric figure is used as the basic element of the design to make changes.
Challenge: The most difficult part of the design process is the design of geometric figures. Attention must be paid to the content connection between graphics and thematic meaning, as well as the structural visual aesthetics of packaging design and book design.
Realization and Technology: In order to highlight the graphic design, special effects were created by partially applying bright film and fog film in the printing technology, and printed books, posters and invitation cards.
