Ego House Architects Receives the Bronze A' Design Award for X House Residential Building in Architecture, Building and Structure Design

More About X House Residential Building

X House is a residential building set in a mixed forest within the city of Kharkiv, Ukraine. Respect for the site and preservation of the existing green spaces guided the design and the construction. Large areas of panoramic glazing connect the interior with the surrounding trees, making nature an accent of the living space. Cantilevered roof projections and second floor terraces are made of reinforced concrete and form broken lines around the main volume. The exterior uses porcelain stoneware, metal, wood and fiber-cement panels. The total area is 460 square meters.
