The combination is an innovation that outlives evolving colours and trends of time and seasons.
Inspiration
Doji Gold and Gems Group, a jewelry powerhouse in Vietnam, commissioned Mercurio Design Lab to do the interiors of Doji Tower, a mixed-use development inspired by the shape of a diamond. Mercurio Design Lab, an avant-garde studio, took the challenge and developed a new style language which is a fusion between the classical and contemporary. The blend resulted to an art deco sensibility and is made evident in the various sections and functionalities of the building bestowing a peculiar design impression.
Realization and Technology
Marbles, golden decors, carpets, Italian mosaic, and European crystals were incorporated in the overall design of the interiors. Gold leaf, decorative ceiling medallions, detailing in the cornice and baseboard, wall panels, coffered ceilings, and gold finishes emphasised the classical characteristics. The contemporary feel is manifested in the open spaces with large and rounded windows for natural light to flow in, fluid and curvaceous walls, modern furniture, ornaments, and furnishings.
Operation and Interaction
The first five floors of the tower is a retail space featuring various sections for showing wedding-related themes and giftware such as watches and other luxury jewellery.
