About RGB Hotel Hotel
RGB Hotel è un edificio alberghiero situato a Kangding, con una superficie di 15.000 metri quadrati. Il progetto migliora le funzioni essenziali rendendo al contempo l'architettura più aperta e pubblica, così da poter servire un numero maggiore di persone. Il nuovo edificio si fonde con l'ambiente circostante e con la cultura tradizionale locale. I materiali principali comprendono pittura artistica, piastrelle a effetto legno, corteccia trattata con olio di tung, struttura in acciaio e legno naturale. La copertura è realizzata con corteccia locale imbevuta di olio di tung, combinata con moderne pareti bianche. Ogni camera dispone di una vasca idromassaggio indipendente alimentata da acqua termale corrente.

- The design strategy is, while improving the basic programs and functions, to make the architecture more open and public, capable of serving more people, and blend in the new building equipped with architectural and structural innovation with the surrounding environment and its traditional culture.

- Design Challenge
- Each guest room of the hotel has an independent bubble pool, which can continuously supply flowing hot springs for residents through thermal energy conversion, so as to avoid energy waste and environmental pollution caused by large consumption of electricity and natural gas.
- Research
- Although the second floor uses the contemporary architectural system, the material selection echoes the local traditional way. The roof is made of local bark soaked in tung oil, combined with the modern white wall to deduce the beauty of ancient and modern integration.
- Inspiration
- Starting from the local lifestyle and national culture, the design of RGB Hotel hopes to convey to people the brand positioning of visualization, youth and life through modern design methods. At the same time, it also perfectly fits the three elements, namely, red represents sunrise and sunset, green symbolizes ecological jungle and blue implies sky hot spring.
- Project Duration
- The project started in December 2020 in Kangding and finished in August 2021 in Kangding.

- Retaining the broken wall is not only a dissemination of beauty, but also a protection of ancient buildings.
