Qingdao Steel Fortress è uno showroom concettuale realizzato all'interno di un ex distretto industriale di Qingdao, in Cina. La ristrutturazione conserva il carattere originario degli edifici, compresi i mattoni rossi preesistenti e le lamiere d'acciaio arrugginite. Designers reserved pre-existing red brick when used anodised aluminium, a new type construction materials.The integration of classic elements and advanced materials delivered massive historic implication and generated urban vitality.

- The first floor is temporary exhibition hall and the second floor acts as main exhibition area. The open staircases in public area play a role in public activities. To meet mixed needs of the modern society, designers introduced new business forms like catering and cultural creativity .
