Um The Stacked Hús

Bókartexti: The Stacked er timburhús fyrir fjölskyldu sem lokið var við í Kurashiki, Okayama, Japan. Ytra byrðið minnir á kassa sem staflað er hver ofan á annan, sem gefur byggingunni sérstætt form innan íbúðahverfisins. Þar sem lóðin liggur mjög nálægt nágrannalóðinni var útbúinn húsagarður sem tengist stofunni, sem myndar opið og bjart rými á meðan næði er tryggt. Að innan er opnu stofunni og herberginu í japönskum stíl komið fyrir í samræmi hvort við annað. Mikil loftþétting, öflug einangrun og fullkomlega sjálfvirkt loftræstikerfi styðja við þægindi allt árið um kring.

We carefully surveyed the proposed site and studied the flow lines of　people and the way light enters the surrounding area. Since temperatures change with the seasons in Japan we pursued an ecological design by improving airtightness and insulation.
