I use design all over my life. I am happy with this situation. I want to reflect my style in every object, every space, every structure I have designed.
Designer of the Day Interview
30 November 2018
I have started to my design career in high school period. I was curious about architecture and product design since then. For the university degree, I have completed firstly interior architecture and then, the architecture major degrees. Now I still continue to my Masters degree at Architecture in İstanbul. Within all this time, I have worked for many companies in terms of product and space design. And I would like to continue design and produce new things throughout my life.
I like the ability to realize all ideas in the real life and it gives me an ultimate satisfaction to create new products, places and establish new buildings. This was the main idea of becoming a designer. I think I leave many designs behind myself when I passed away. In the university, I have completed restoration, interior architecture and architecture degrees respectively. . Now I still continue to my Masters degree at Architecture in İstanbul.
When a design idea pops in my mind, firstly I conduct a deep research. Then I evaluate the uniqueness of this idea and change it many times. But the most important thing is that I try to use golden proportion in all my design works, I think this is substantial.
Actually all parts of the design process has its beauty in itself however, I think the most exciting part is when you catch a new idea in your mind.
Of course there are architectures as role models for me. First places belong to Sinan the Architect and Leonardo Da Vinci. But the most important person in my career who helped and developed me was Mater.Arch.Hüseyin Başçetinçelik.
I would like to spread my design works and also my name to the whole world. Actually I have to get more experienced regarding the competitions and perform much more amount of work.
At the moment I’m at the beginning of this road, so I can only advice everyone to work hard.
Doing everything you do with love and passion.
I get up early in the morning and go to work and draw something. Try to finish my work and then go out to socialize with my friends. Sport is very favorable. At least four evenings a week is very helpful in designing as well.
I catch up new trends with social media, magazines and travels.
As long as they are not copy, every project has good parts in itself. In fact, how people approach to an object or stucture. The taste of design is always relative, everyone can enjoy different things..
First of all, missing things have to be completed in my mind, then, I show it to my close friends and finalize according to their opinions.
My biggest project. It is a sales office that I have designed in Riva region in Istanbul. The design of the building is derived from a leaf form with biomimicry design perception.
There are two people actually First: Big Sinan the Architect and Second: Leonardo Da Vinci
The culture I live is actually called as modern Turkish culture and I am very happy about it. The place I live in is a location where many civilizations have been hosted for centuries. I think my design works inherit a big part of Turkish culture and tradition.
My business philosophy based on mainly honesty and hardwork.
I try to support people coming from lower socioeconomic background in terms of material and the spiritual side.
When it comes to the competitions I have attended during past years, I have met with many colleagues and they have become my friends and I have now more popularity in social media. I have seen different designs and designers and am very happy about it.
Design Legend Interview
5 August 2018
My design works started in high school. When I succeeded in entering Construction Design major, I had some hand drawing but hadn’t known what I may capable of. When I started to school, firstly I took technical drawing course and also in order to enhance my drawing skills, I took private lessons from major academics in Turkey. My influential role model and teacher was Master Architect Hüseyin Başçelik. If it has not been with him, I would not be that much devoted to this profession. After high school, first I studied Restoration in İstanbul then I completed my interior architecture and other architecture courses and gained my faculty degree from Haliç University. Now I’m a master degree student in Haliç University, Faculty of Architecture.
I love to design things and produce them. Designing makes me happy and provides me feeling of powerfulness.
I have chosen to be a designer and I’m happy with it.
I would like to perform design works in almost every subject, I do not see making distinctions as a correct attitude.
In fact, for a long time, I have been thinking of designing a unique stairway. It will be my work because due to the possible high cost, I could not find a customer yet. But in future, if a get a big project, I can include my stairway design upon that project.
A complex construction block that lives organically.
Working too much.
Arch. Big Sinan, Leonardo Da Vinci, Leonardo Fibonacci, Arata İsozaki , Hüseyin Başçetinçelik
There are too many things that I would like to tell about this subject but I will cut the story short by an example. The Sulaymaniya Mosque is a really successful design for me in terms of every perfect lines, pencil works and proportions.
For now I’m at the very beginning of the road so it would not be a proper thing to say .
Probably I would be a military officer.
Every moment in our lives actually is a work of design. We make designs during the day intentionally or unintentionally. This process also can be described as making something out of nothing or shaping out of nothing.
First of all, my family supported me strongly and taught me how to deal with life. Regarding the design, Hüseyin Başçetinçelik was my supporter and role model.
Even I do not know that right now. Maybe a building, or a chair or maybe a box.
To be known internationally and selling my products worldwide.
Human life is also a work of design and it becomes more beautiful with details. Our design works help people to enhance their physical and mental perceptions.
Sometimes it takes an hour and sometimes it takes months.
Of course. When I started a new work or designing a new object, I spare the most shining ideas that sparked in my mind aside, and start drawings about them. When I approached some degree in design, the calculations and proportions take place and I look at their visual values. Then, the materials are included in the process and after that I consult to many people, take notes and make revisions for multiple times.
Do not give up on trying.
The more technology develops, the more design areas will pop up and more products and building spaces take place.

Perceptions of people constructed upon the colors. Even the design is black and white and does not have texture, through shades and tones, it unifies with color perception and makes the design unique.

Currently I do not own a company. I’m continuing my Master degree and working some companies as assistant designer.
Every moment in our lives actually is a work of design. We make designs during the day intentionally or unintentionally. This process also can be described as making something out of nothing or shaping out of nothing.
In this era, I like the modernism most, but I also like the other types as well.
A hotel frontal in Taksim / İstanbul
Stainless steel and marble are my favorite materials.
In every time and at everywhere.
I give importance to functionality and proportions. I prefer golden proportion rules as analysis methods.
It changes according to the character of design.
I experienced infinite happiness and excitement. Up until today, when the buildings and interior places are completed that I have designed by myself, I got emotional and excited at every time.
Making understandable every piece and being able to take please from design.
There are no good or bad designs. There are perceptions and tastes.
I can be inspired by almost everything. For example, in Istanbul, I have designed a sales office building and this design’s inspiration came from a closet cover’s movement. Or design of sports center inspired by a climbing man’s body form.
It is addressing to people’s taste, depends on proportions and also is multi-functional.
I live in Turkey and this country is so important for me. It helps me significantly in terms of design process. I’m trying to pursue big designers’ approach such as Sinan the Architect.
Depending on design sales or for short periods.
Of course. When I started a new work or designing a new object, I spare the most shining ideas that sparked in my mind aside, and start drawings about them. Lightning, TV Unit, Coffee Table, Decorative objects, Stairs
I wake up and then go to the school or office. In my leisure time, I do sports, participate in trips and draw some sketches.
My gaze should look beautiful after all proportions are over. Trust my feelings. Then I consult the people around. The golden ratio will produce designs that look beautiful all the time.
Observation.

It is a question that is hard to answer. Because I do love and observe each design types separately but if I had to choose one of them, it will be the Art deco design type due to affiliation to my personality.
To deepen my design knowledge and to be known in many countries and being able to sell my products in those countries
For now, I work alone but according to the size of work, I can get assistance.
