Design Legend Interview

27 April 2017

I was educated at Solent University, which at the the time was renowned for its typography. Since leaving university I have worked at many design agencies across the South of England

I've always loved being creative.I once won a poster competition aged 10 and ever since then have strived to become a designer

I chose to become one. It was somthing I aimed for

We design everything from brand identities, books, packaging, brochures, magazines, signage, websites, animation... The list goes on. I love working on book design

Just follow your passion

Simplicity beautifully executed, with an element of the unexpected.

It is a known fact that businesses that invest in good effective design are more successful

I would like to design books that focussed on different arts

creating or reinvigorating an airline brand

Work hard, keep going and learn from your mistakes

I am inspired by the old school like Nevill Brody, Paula Scher, Paul Rand, Saville etc

The work that The Partners do really inspires me. They are amazing. If we can get close to the level of output they deliver I will be happy. It will be difficult though as they are very good.

I don't look at my work and think its great, we can always do better. I always want to improve

Take on personal projects and keep taking risks.

I was always going to become a designer

Learning from my mistakes, listening to my peers and learning from people with more experience
