Designer of the Day Interview

6 January 2025

I have been in the jewelry design industry for several years, and during this time, I have significantly developed my skills and expertise in this field. My journey as a designer has been deeply fulfilling, starting with a strong passion for drawing from a young age, which eventually evolved into a profound love for jewelry design.
Although my degree is not directly related to design, I have completed specialized training courses at reputable design academies. These courses have provided me with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the field of jewelry design, equipping me with the tools to execute intricate and creative designs.
Working with a diverse range of clients has been an incredibly valuable experience. My commitment to craftsmanship and creativity has earned me recognition and appreciation from various clients who highly value my work. The bespoke pieces I have designed have been highly praised for their elegance and uniqueness.
I continuously strive to push the boundaries of creativity and beauty in my work. Each project and collaboration has contributed to my growth and development as a designer, and I am dedicated to delivering the highest quality in every piece I create.

From a young age, I was always fascinated by the beauty and intricacies of art. My passion for drawing and creating was evident, and it naturally evolved into a love for designing jewelry. Although my degree was not related to design, I took specialized training courses at a design academy to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge.
My journey began with a strong internal drive to create beautiful and meaningful pieces. I remember being captivated by the elegance and detail in jewelry pieces I saw growing up, and this sparked my desire to pursue a career in jewelry design. There wasn't a specific person who influenced my decision; rather, it was an innate passion for art and design that guided me.
To become a designer, I started by taking courses to hone my skills. I learned about various aspects of jewelry design, from sketching to crafting techniques. Additionally, I gained valuable experience by working with established designers and companies in the industry. These experiences allowed me to develop my unique style and understand the intricacies of the trade.
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most prestigious names in the industry and create bespoke pieces for clients worldwide. My journey as a designer has been deeply fulfilling, and I continue to push the boundaries of creativity and elegance in my work.
My interest in art and design was sparked by the beauty I saw in everyday objects and the desire to create something unique and timeless. The joy of transforming raw materials into exquisite pieces of jewelry is what drives me every day.

1.User-Centric Design:
My first priority is always the end-users. I strive to consider their needs, preferences, and experiences in every project I work on. This ensures that the final result is engaging and beneficial for the users.
2. Innovation and Creativity:
I constantly seek new and creative ideas. In every project, I try to provide unique solutions that combine classical design methods with modern digital tools, pushing the boundaries of art and design.
3. Attention to Detail and Quality:
High quality and attention to detail are fundamental principles in my work. I approach each project with great care and sensitivity, aiming to execute all aspects of design to the highest possible standard.
Central Theme and Technology in Design:
All my projects have a central theme that inspires and guides my design. This theme usually reflects a specific idea or concept that I want to convey through my design.
Digital Tools and Mock-Ups:
I use a combination of digital and traditional tools. Utilizing computer-aided design and rendering software helps me visualize and refine my ideas digitally. At the same time, creating mock-ups and physical models allows me to grasp the real dimensions and tactile sense of my designs.
Approach to New Projects:
When starting a new project, I begin by researching and understanding the client's needs and user requirements. Then I gather ideas and inspiration to develop an initial design. After reviewing and refining the design, I move on to the production phase, ensuring that every detail is meticulously crafted.

When I'm designing, I experience a wide range of emotions. Initially, there's a sense of excitement and curiosity as I brainstorm and conceptualize new ideas. This phase of the design process is incredibly thrilling because it's where the possibilities are endless, and creativity knows no bounds.
As I move forward with the design, I feel a sense of joy and satisfaction in seeing my ideas take shape. The journey of refining and perfecting the design is both challenging and rewarding. Every step, from sketching to selecting materials, brings its own set of emotions, including pride in my craftsmanship and a deep connection to the piece I'm creating.
The most exciting part of the design process for me is witnessing the transformation from concept to reality. The moment I see the final product, I experience a profound sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. It's incredibly gratifying to know that something I envisioned has come to life and can bring joy to others.
Designing fulfills me by allowing me to express my creativity and passion. The process of creating something unique and beautiful brings me a great sense of happiness and satisfaction. I find immense pleasure in the details and intricacies of each piece, knowing that my work can evoke emotions and create lasting memories for those who wear my jewelry.

Every day, as a jewelry designer, begins with morning planning. Here's a look at my daily routine:
I start my mornings by reading news and articles related to design and jewelry. This helps me stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in the industry and gain new ideas for my projects.
Next, I check emails and messages from clients, colleagues, and various teams. This helps me stay informed about the status of ongoing projects and tasks, and respond to client inquiries and requests.
After checking emails, I work on ongoing projects. This includes initial design, material selection, creating mock-ups and physical models, and holding meetings with clients and colleagues. This part of the day is very creative and exciting.
Throughout the day, I take breaks to recharge. During these breaks, I might go for a walk or brainstorm and sketch new designs. This helps me maintain my energy and motivation.
During the day, I might have meetings with various teams, clients, and colleagues. These meetings help coordinate projects better and share different ideas and opinions.
One of the things that makes me happy during a typical workday is finding inspiration from small details. A small detail in a design or an interesting idea from an article can excite me and enhance my creativity.
Interacting with clients and colleagues and hearing their feedback and suggestions also makes my day enjoyable. These interactions help me better meet client needs and expectations and execute projects with higher quality.
What Makes Me Happy on Boring Workdays?
One of the things that makes me happy even on boring workdays is successfully completing projects and seeing the final result. These moments give me a sense of satisfaction and pride and motivate me to continue my work.

As a jewelry designer, I believe in striking a balance between following design trends and maintaining my own personal style. Keeping up with the latest trends is important, as it helps me understand what is currently popular and in demand, but it’s equally important to stay true to my unique design aesthetic.
Importance of Design Trends:
Design trends matter to a certain extent, as they can influence consumer preferences and market demand. Following trends can help attract new customers and keep the brand relevant. However, blindly following trends without incorporating my own style and creativity could lead to a loss of originality and identity.
How I Keep Up with Design Trends?
To stay updated with the latest design trends, I follow a few key practices:
1. Reading Industry Publications: I regularly read design magazines, blogs, and industry reports to stay informed about the latest trends and innovations in jewelry design.
2. Attending Trade Shows and Exhibitions: Participating in trade shows and exhibitions allows me to see the latest collections from other designers and get a sense of current trends in the market.
3. Networking with Fellow Designers: Engaging with other designers and industry professionals helps me gain insights into emerging trends and exchange ideas.
Personal Style and Creativity:
While trends are important, I always ensure that my designs reflect my personal style and creativity. My goal is to create timeless and unique pieces that can stand the test of time, rather than just following what’s hip for the season. I believe that my personal touch and distinctive style are what set my designs apart.
My inspiration comes from various sources:
1. Nature and Environment: The natural world, with its rich colors, patterns, and forms, is a constant source of inspiration for my designs.
2. Art and Architecture: I draw inspiration from different art forms and architectural styles, incorporating their elements into my jewelry pieces.
3. Cultural Heritage: Traditional and cultural motifs often inspire my designs, adding depth and meaning to my creations.
Ultimately, while I keep an eye on design trends, my primary focus is on creating pieces that resonate with my artistic vision and offer something unique to my clients. This approach allows me to stay relevant while maintaining my individuality as a designer.

The main criteria for judging a good design can include functionality, aesthetics, innovation, and attention to detail.
A good design must be functional and efficient. The product or project must meet the users' needs in the best possible way, and it should be easy and comfortable to use. The design should be such that users can use it without any problems.
The appearance and aesthetics of a design are very important. A good design should be attractive and pleasing and catch the users' attention. The use of appropriate colors, shapes, and patterns can enhance the beauty of a design and improve the user experience.
Good designs are often innovative and creative. Creating something new and unique that didn't exist before can turn a design into a work of art. Innovation can stem from new materials, different techniques, or creative ideas.
Another characteristic of good design is attention to detail. Precise details and meticulous work can significantly improve the quality of a design and give it depth and meaning.
Unique Features:
That one particular thing that I look at in all products or projects and say, "Aha! That's it," is the design's ability to create a strong emotional experience for the users. When a design can evoke positive emotions and satisfaction in users, I can say that the design is well done.

Deciding whether a design is complete and ready is one of the main challenges in the design process. As a designer, I usually go through several stages of review and revision to reach the final result. The moment I feel that the design meets all the needs and expectations and no important points remain for improvement, I can say that the design is ready.
Can a design be complete? Perhaps this question remains unanswered, as there is always room for improvement. Designs can be enhanced over time and with changing user needs and preferences. But as a designer, I have to determine a moment when the design is sufficiently complete and efficient to move on to execution.
The decision to stop improving a design and move on to other projects depends on several factors:
1. Time Deadlines: Sometimes time constraints and deadlines make it necessary to move the design to the execution phase, even if there is still room for improvement.
2. Resources and Budget: Resource and budget limitations can also play a significant role in the decision to stop improving a design.
3. Needs Assessment: When the design meets all the users' needs and expectations and performs well, I can say that the design is ready and I can move on to new projects.
Continuous Review and Improvement:
As a designer, I always have the urge to review and improve previous designs in my mind. But a balance must be struck between continuous improvement and moving on to new projects. My goal is to create designs that are both high-quality and functional.
Positive user feedback is a sign of a design's success. Additionally, the design must perform well and have a positive impact on users and society.

One of the projects I am particularly proud of and spent a significant amount of time designing and realizing is the Affinity ring. This ring won the A’Design Award, and its design idea was inspired by the Heydar Aliyev Center in Azerbaijan, one of the masterpieces of architecture and design by Zaha Hadid.
I designed this ring because I wanted to create a piece of art that could combine the aesthetics of modern architecture with the art of jewelry, while also incorporating elements of heritage and tradition. My initial idea was to draw inspiration from the curved and dynamic lines of the Heydar Aliyev Center and recreate it in the form of a beautiful and unique ring.
The design of this ring involved various stages of research and review, brainstorming, material selection, creating initial models, and finally, the final execution.
Like all projects, this one also came with its own set of challenges, including time and budget management. However, with collaboration and perseverance, I was able to overcome these challenges and achieve the final result.
This ring has given me a great sense of satisfaction and fulfillment. One of the most pleasant moments in the process of designing and realizing this project was seeing the positive feedback from users and the positive impact it had on society.
Currently, I am working on several new and exciting projects. One of the projects I am particularly interested in is a project aimed at creating a new product or design using innovative technologies and sustainable materials. This project gives me the opportunity to challenge my creativity and seek innovative solutions.

One of the designers I find incredibly inspiring as an individual is Zaha Hadid. She is not only recognized as a prominent architect and designer, but her unique personality and distinct perspectives are also very inspirational. Her creativity and courage in breaking traditional design molds have always impressed me.
One of the designers I highly admire for their outstanding designs is Philippe Starck. Through his innovative and creative designs, he has made a significant impact on the world of design. From furniture to interior design, Starck always surprises me with his fresh and unique ideas.
If I had the chance to talk with a deceased designer, without a doubt, I would love to speak with Charles Eames. He, along with his wife Ray Eames, made a tremendous impact on modern design and furniture. Their ideas and perspectives continue to inspire today's designs.
In my opinion, one of the most iconic designers of all time is Le Corbusier. His remarkable works in modern architecture and innovative viewpoints have left a deep impact on the world of design.
One of the designers who has had the most influence on our understanding of good design is Dieter Rams. His ten principles of design continue to serve as a reference in the field and have significantly impacted modern product design.
Among architects, artists, and designers, I particularly admire the works of Frank Lloyd Wright, Isamu Noguchi, and Sandy Skoglund. Each of these individuals has left a profound impact on the world of design with their unique ideas and perspectives.

Design Legend Interview

12 July 2024

With a master's degree in MBA, I have a strong educational background in business and management. However, my interests and skills also lie in the field of design, particularly 3D jewelry design. I have been dedicated to expanding my knowledge and expertise in this area since 2018 when I started learning in Iran and later continued my studies in Turkey. As a testament to my passion and commitment, I am now a proud member of the prestigious World Design Consortium (WDC) and other notable clubs and associations such as AIBA, IAD, IBSP, ICCI, IDC, and ISPM. Furthermore, I have had the opportunity to showcase my designs in various international exhibitions, including MOOD in Italy, 40*40 in Poland, and exhibitions in China and India.
As a jury member, I had the honor of reviewing and evaluating innovative projects and ideas that were submitted for the prestigious DOI Award 2024 competition in India. It was a challenging yet rewarding experience to help recognize and promote the most promising and impactful initiatives in the country. Being a part of the jury also gave me valuable insights into the current trends and advancements in various industries and sectors.
These experiences have not only allowed me to gain recognition but have also broadened my perspective and creativity in the design industry.

Creative design is the art of bringing imagination to life. It involves taking an abstract idea and turning it into a tangible creation. As a designer, this process can be both exhilarating and challenging. It requires the ability to conceptualize, problem-solve, and think outside of the box. The end result is not only a visual representation of an idea, but also a reflection of the designer's unique perspective and creativity.

I believe that design is at the core of everything in the world. It all starts with an idea, which is then brought to life through the form of a design. Designers are the creators of their work, presenting it to the audience with their unique vision and skill. For me, drawing is not simply a job, but a source of joy and fulfillment. It allows me to express my creativity and share my perspective with others.

Overall, I believe that the positive impact of my design can have a ripple effect, spreading joy and happiness to those who view it. Even if it is just a small contribution, I hope that my design can make the world a more beautiful and positive place.

In order to achieve success and growth, individuals should strive to constantly update their expertise and knowledge. It is important to invest in oneself and develop skills with passion and good judgement, rather than out of obligation. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise and proper nutrition, is also crucial for personal and professional fulfillment. It is also important to prioritize sleep and rest, as they are necessary for maintaining motivation and strength. With a positive attitude and determination, individuals can navigate through challenges and enjoy the journey towards their goals. Giving up should never be an option.

However, a great designer not only possesses these skills, but also has years of experience and numerous successes under their belt. This experience sets them apart and makes them known and distinguished in their field.

These principles are essential in creating visual appeal and conveying meaning in any design. Balance refers to the distribution of elements within a composition, emphasizing the importance of symmetry and asymmetry. Emphasis is the technique of highlighting specific elements to draw attention and create hierarchy. Rhythm refers to the repetition and variation of elements to create a sense of movement and flow. Proportion and scale deal with the size and relationships between elements in a design. Lastly, harmony and unity bring all the elements together to create a cohesive and visually appealing design.

Good design is essential for the success and usability of any product. It involves careful consideration of the user's needs, functionality, and aesthetics. A well-designed product not only looks good, but also functions well and makes the user's experience more enjoyable. Good design is a crucial aspect in creating products that are both useful and desirable.

I would create a design that would convey a message of hope, happy, love, health and unity, and I would proudly present it to all the people of the world.

I am constantly thinking of new and exciting projects that I would love to pursue. However, at the moment, I don't have a definitive answer to this question. I hope that in the future, with hard work and determination, I can turn these dreams into reality.

These are the key elements to achieving success and satisfaction in life. By setting clear goals, creating a plan to reach them, putting in consistent effort, and finding joy in the path. we can lead fulfilling lives and achieve our dreams. Though the outcome may not always be what we expect, the process of growth and learning is invaluable.

For innovation and creativity. From the intricate patterns found in flowers and leaves to the vastness and complexity of the universe, nature provides endless inspiration for new inventions and designs. By observing and studying the natural world, we can tap into its endless array of solutions and apply them to our own challenges and innovations.

Designs like the unique architecture of Zaha Hadid challenge traditional notions of form and function, pushing boundaries and creating visually striking structures. Her avant garde designs often incorporate sweeping curves and bold geometric shapes, making a statement and leaving a lasting impact on the landscape. Hadid's work has inspired countless architects and designers to think outside the box and reimagine what is possible in the world of designers.

The Affinity ring at the moment. Its design It has praised and approved by a panel of judges that all of whom are highly respected professors in this field. Prioritizing tasks can help individuals and teams stay organized and focused on the most important aspects of a project or work. By focusing on the most important tasks first, it allows for better time management and efficiency. However, it is also important to be open to trying new methods or approaches if necessary, and to consistently follow through with tasks to ensure completion.

At one time, I also liked piloting, but most likely I would have chosen a job that deals with nature.

However, it is important to remember that design is not just about the end product, but also the process of creating it. It involves problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration with others. Design is also constantly evolving and influenced by society, culture, and technology. It has the power to shape our world and improve our lives, but it also carries a responsibility to consider ethical and sustainable practices. Overall, design is a powerful tool that can bring about positive change and should be celebrated and utilized to its fullest potential.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my dear family, especially my kind and artistic parents, for their unwavering guidance and support. I would not be where I am today without their love and encouragement. They have been my biggest cheerleaders, and I am forever grateful for the values and lessons they have instilled in me. Thank you for always believing in me and helping me become the person I am today. Thank you for everything, my dear family. I love you all.

Through my problems and failures, I have learned valuable lessons and have grown as a person. I was not discouraged by these challenges, but rather continued on my path with even more determination and motivation. In fact, the hardships I faced have only made me stronger and I credit my current success to the lessons I learned from my failures.

Not having a defined goal was one of the obstacles I faced in the past. When the destination is not clear, the path is also unclear and ultimately causes confusion. However, I learned from this experience and was able to set specific priorities and create a plan to reach my goals. This not only helped me stay organized and focused, but also reduced stress and confusion. While it may have been challenging and tedious at first, in the end, I was on the right track to achieving my goals. This experience taught me the valuable lesson of the importance of defining goals and creating a plan to achieve them.

Presentation skills are crucial for successfully conveying a strong plan to an audience. No matter how strong a plan is, if it is not presented effectively, it cannot influence the audience. In fact, a great presentation is more important than the design itself, as its ultimate goal is to effectively communicate and persuade the audience. Presentation skills are therefore essential for any individual or organization looking to make an impact and achieve their goals.

My passion for design has grown stronger as I have pursued my education and experience in the field. With each project, I strive to challenge myself and think outside the box, constantly seeking new ways to use my creativity and skills. I believe that by embracing different design styles and continuously learning and adapting, I can make a meaningful contribution to the industry and inspire others to do the same. I hope as a designer, I positively impact on the world of design.

With dedication, hard work, and continuous learning, I believe that I can one day become a leading influencer in the design industry. My goal is to use my creativity and knowledge to push the boundaries of design and contribute to its growth and progress on a global scale. By staying true to my passion and constantly striving to improve, I am confident that I can make a positive impact in the world of design.

As a designer, it is crucial to do not only focus on my own ideas and preferences. I should take into account the needs and feedback of the users. A successful design is one that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and user friendly. Ultimately, the satisfaction of the end users is what truly matters in the success of a design.

Art and design are not just for aesthetic pleasure, but they also serve a greater purpose. They can challenge our perceptions and open our minds to new ideas and perspectives. By experiencing the art of other cultures, we can gain a better understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Art also has the power to break down barriers and bring people together. It allows us to see the beauty in everyday life and appreciate the world in a new light. Ultimately, art and design have the ability to enrich our lives and bring positive changes to society.

The idea that I have in my mind was inspired by a theory in astronomy, and being able to make it into a buildable design is exciting for me.

When creating a design, consideration should be given to more than just its potential market demand. The message and impact the design has on the viewer should also be taken into account. A design that may not have high sales could still have a powerful message and influence on those who see it. Ultimately, the purpose of a design should not solely be to generate profit, but to also make a meaningful impact.
Working on such projects is enjoyable and satisfying for me.

Instead of simply copying what others have done, try to put your own unique spin on things. Take inspiration from different sources and combine them in new and innovative ways. Don't be afraid to take risks and think outside the box. This will not only make your work more creative, but also help you develop your own unique style.

The priorities and values of designers are crucial in determining the direction of design. Some may prioritize financial gain and fame, while others may consider environmental impact and promote sustainable practices. The way designers think and view the world influences their design choices, including promoting appropriate behavioral patterns and fostering positive relationships and interactions. Ultimately, the mindset of the designer plays a significant role in shaping the designs created.

Some projects may require more work due to their complexity, while others may not need as much time to be finalized due to the simplicity of the design. It is important to carefully assess the requirements and scope of each project in order to determine the appropriate amount of time and resources needed. Additionally, external factors such as unexpected challenges or delays can also affect the timeline of a project.

The design process starts with an idea, at first I draw the idea I have in the mind as a rough sketch on paper, then I make the desired changes on it to make it the best. However, it is important to note that the design process is not always linear and changes may need to be made multiple times before reaching the final product. This is especially true when creating a design in 3D, as changes may need to be made again to ensure the final design meets all requirements and specifications.

The quality of our life depends on our thoughts and worldview.

I think both can be true because a designer has an influence on design with his mental tendency, on the other hand, the current process can affect the designer's mind and tendencies. However, the designer's influence may be limited by the constraints and requirements of the design project, whereas the external factors of the design process can heavily impact the designer's decisions and creativity. In the end, it is a combination of both internal and external factors that shape the final design outcome.

Technology can greatly increase accuracy and speed while reducing labor costs. Technology also allows for more efficient data processing and analysis, saving time and resources. Additionally, advancements in technology have led to the creation of various tools and software that can streamline tasks and make them easier to complete, ultimately improving overall productivity.
However, technology can also have negative effects, such as job displacement and the potential for errors or malfunctions. It can also create a dependence on technology, leading to a loss of basic skills and independence. Additionally, the high costs of implementing and maintaining technology can put a strain on businesses and individuals.

Rhinoceros. Matrix. KeyShot and Photoshop software.

In design, the concept of space goes beyond just physical dimensions. It also encompasses the sensory and aesthetic elements that make up a design, such as color and material. These elements interact with each other to create a visually appealing and harmonious space. The colors and materials chosen can affect the way light reflects and adds depth to a space, ultimately enhancing its overall beauty.

Do you have any questions or suggestions regarding the design? I would be happy for it. Your interest and attention to the plan is greatly appreciated and I am open to any questions or feedback you may have.

From art and music to literature and technology, endless creativity can be found in various forms. It is a powerful force that drives innovation and progress in our world. Without it, our society would not be able to evolve and adapt to the ever-changing challenges and opportunities. Endless creativity is a beautiful gift that should be nurtured and embraced.

As a designer, I truly appreciate the benefits of collaboration and teamwork. It allows for different perspectives and ideas to come together, resulting in a more well-rounded and innovative design. Mutual cooperation also fosters a positive and supportive work environment, making the process more enjoyable and productive.

My first jewelry design teacher was a pivotal figure in my life. Her constant encouragement and insightful feedback boosted my confidence and ultimately led to my success in the field. Without her guidance and support, I may not have discovered my passion and pursued a career in jewelry design. Thank you my teacher Ms.Sanam for everything.

All of the books have its own unique insights and strategies that I found valuable. It would be difficult for me to choose just one as the most useful, as they all contributed to my growth and development as a teacher.
The skills and techniques I have learned from books on teaching design and gemology have greatly enhanced my abilities as a designer and educator.
Books have not only broadened my knowledge and understanding of various subjects, but they have also sparked my creativity and helped me develop new ideas and perspectives. By learning about the history of design and different cultures, I have gained a deeper appreciation for the importance of diversity and inclusion in the design world. Overall, reading has been an invaluable tool for my personal and professional growth.

I must continuously improve my skills and stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques. This allows me to create innovative and effective designs that meet the needs and preferences of my clients. Additionally, constantly challenging myself and pushing my boundaries in design helps me to grow as a designer and achieve even greater success in my career.

Meeting with founders of luxury jewelry brands like Tiffany, Harry Winston, Chopard, and David Yurman would be a dream come true for me. As a designer in the luxury jewelry world, I am eager to learn from these renowned leaders and potentially implement their techniques into my own business endeavors. This opportunity would not only allow me to expand my knowledge and skills, but also provide valuable networking opportunities and connections within the industry. I am confident that the experiences and insights shared by these industry leaders will greatly benefit my future endeavors.

The thrill of competing against others and the anticipation of finding out the results is what makes attending competitions so enjoyable for me. It pushes me to work harder and strive for excellence, as well as giving me the opportunity to meet and connect with like-minded individuals. The competitive environment also allows me to learn from others and improve my skills through constructive criticism and feedback.
However, I also recognize that fame can also bring its own set of challenges and pressures. It can lead to a loss of privacy, an increase in public scrutiny, and a constant need to maintain a certain image. It can also create a sense of isolation and loneliness as people may become more interested in the fame rather than the person behind it. Therefore, while I enjoy the excitement and social benefits of fame, I also understand the potential drawbacks and strive to maintain a balance in my life.

Whether it's a delicious meal, a good book, or a fun activity with loved ones, the things that bring joy and happiness into my life will always be my favorites. I believe that life is meant to be enjoyed, and anything that brings a smile to my face and warmth to my heart will have a special place in my heart. As for a specific favorite, it's hard to choose just one as my favorites are constantly changing and evolving as I grow and experience new things.

The first time I had a design order, they asked me to design a beautiful necklace using an oval shape. However, due to the stress of the customer's presence, I had forgotten what an oval shape looked like. In order to make sure I got the design right, I had to search for images of oval shapes on the Internet.

By maintaining a positive mindset and being adaptable, I am able to better understand and navigate the changing conditions and atmosphere around me. This helps me to be more open-minded and find creative solutions to any challenges that may arise. It also allows me to be more flexible in my approach, making it easier to adapt to new situations and environments. Overall, this mindset helps me to stay focused and productive, no matter what circumstances I may encounter.

I have always been deeply passionate about painting and expressing myself through colors and imagination. Even as a child, I could spend hours creating new worlds on my canvas. My mom says that I drew my first draw when I was about two years old, which was my father's military boots. Now, I am grateful for these early signs that have guided me towards my true calling.

It is true that technology will continue to advance and change the world in ways we can't even imagine. However, it is important to remember that these advancements are driven by human ideas and innovation. We must be cautious and responsible in our use of technology, ensuring that it serves to improve the lives of humans rather than replace them. Quality and ethical considerations must also be prioritized to ensure the well-being and safety of individuals and society as a whole.

I truly believe in the power of concepts like altruism, peace, and tranquility, and I am always looking for ways to incorporate them into my work and plans. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my thoughts and ideas with other design enthusiasts, and I hope that this conversation can be valuable for everyone involved in this industry, whether it's students, startups, or seasoned professionals. Remember, even the longest journeys begin with a single step, so don't be afraid to take risks and never give up on your dreams. My love and respect to you all.

Designer Interview

3 January 2025

Ever since I can remember, I have been passionate about art and design. From childhood drawings to professional projects, I have always been on the lookout for new ways to express my creativity. Each project I undertake gives me the opportunity to learn more about art and design and to improve my skills.
The desire to create and a constant drive to improve myself in the field of art and design were the most important factors that turned me into an artist and designer. Moreover, the encouragement and support of my family and friends played a significant role in this journey. The ability to positively influence through design and create beautiful and functional things has always been appealing to me.
In response to your question about whether I have always wanted to be a designer, I must say yes, I have always been interested in design and art. From my childhood days when I spent hours drawing and designing, I knew that this was the path I wanted to follow in my life. The more I learned about design and gained experience, the more this interest and passion grew.

I have established a jewelry design brand named Ensieh Yazdani. Our company focuses on creating unique and elegant jewelry pieces that combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design elements. Each piece is meticulously crafted to reflect not only beauty and elegance but also a story and meaning behind it.
At Ensieh Yazdani, we take pride in using high-quality materials and paying attention to every detail to ensure our jewelry is not only visually stunning but also durable and comfortable to wear. Our designs often draw inspiration from nature, culture, and personal experiences, making each piece a true work of art.
We believe that jewelry should be more than just an accessory; it should be an expression of individuality and a statement of style. Our mission is to provide our customers with exceptional jewelry that they can cherish for a lifetime.

Design, for me, is a creative process that combines art and science to create something innovative and effective. In this process, designers draw inspiration from their surroundings, user needs, and existing constraints to create things that offer new and better experiences.
Creating in design can mean improving and enhancing an existing product or even inventing something entirely new and unprecedented. This process requires constant analysis, testing, and iteration to ultimately achieve results that are both beautiful and functional.
For me, creating is not just a job, but a way of life. From seeking beauty in small details to finding innovative solutions to complex problems, design is always evolving and changing.

I enjoy designing creative works that carry beautiful messages for the world, are practical, and environmentally friendly. For me, design is a process that merges art and science to create something innovative and effective. I find joy in projects that allow me to use my imagination and innovation to push boundaries and provide new solutions to existing problems.
I am especially passionate about sustainable design, where I can focus on creating solutions that are environmentally conscious and socially responsible. I love to design with an emphasis on sustainability because it allows me to make a positive impact on the world while practicing my craft.
Overall, the works I like designing most are those that blend creativity, beauty, practicality, and environmental friendliness to create unique and impactful designs.

One of my favorite designs is in the realm of jewelry, specifically the Tiffany & Co engagement ring. This iconic piece has become synonymous with elegance and timeless beauty.
The design is characterized by its simplicity and the way it highlights the diamond. The classic six-prong setting, invented by Charles Lewis Tiffany in 1886, revolutionized how diamonds were presented in engagement rings. The six prongs lift the diamond above the band, allowing light to pass through the stone from all angles, enhancing its brilliance and sparkle.
This minimalist yet highly effective design has stood the test of time and remains one of the most sought-after engagement ring styles in the world. It's a perfect example of how thoughtful design can create something enduring and universally admired.

My first design was a necklace made from yellow gold, featuring peridot and diamond stones. This design was very special to me, as it involved blending natural and radiant elements to create a unique and captivating piece.
Peridot, with its distinctive green color, symbolizes freshness and growth, while diamond, with its endless sparkle, adds grandeur and brilliance to the necklace. The yellow gold, with its natural warmth, perfectly harmonizes the two precious stones.
This necklace reflects my expertise and creativity in utilizing high-quality materials and symbolizes my commitment to beauty and precision in the art of jewelry making.

As a jewelry designer, one of my favorite materials is platinum. This precious metal is not only very beautiful and radiant, but also extremely durable and resistant, making it ideal for creating valuable jewelry.
Platinum is one of the rarest metals, and due to its unique properties, it is the first choice for many jewelry designers to hold precious stones like diamonds. This naturally white metal retains its color and requires minimal maintenance and repairs.
Additionally, platinum's softness and flexibility allow for the creation of intricate and delicate designs. These characteristics, along with platinum's inherent beauty and brilliance, make it one of the most popular materials in jewelry in jewelry making.

I feel the most creative in unexpected moments. It can happen at any time of day, and often when I least expect it. A sudden glimpse of a beautiful landscape, an interesting object, or even a fleeting thought can spark a new idea in my mind. This unpredictability keeps the creative process exciting and dynamic for me. It's as if inspiration is always around the corner, ready to strike when I encounter something that resonates with me on a deeper level.

When designing, I focus on several key aspects to ensure the final product is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. These aspects include:
1. Functionality: The design must serve its intended purpose effectively. Whether it's a piece of jewelry, a piece of furniture, or a software interface, it needs to fulfill the needs and expectations of the user.
2. Aesthetics: Visual appeal is crucial. I pay close attention to the balance, harmony, and overall look of the design. The choice of colors, materials, and shapes all play a significant role.
3. Usability: The design should be intuitive and easy to use. I consider how the user will interact with the design and strive to make that interaction as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
4. Sustainability: I aim to use materials and processes that are environmentally friendly and sustainable. This is increasingly important in today’s world and is a key consideration in my design process.
5. Innovation: I look for ways to incorporate new ideas, techniques, and technologies to make the design stand out. This can involve experimenting with new materials, using cutting-edge technology, or finding creative solutions to design challenges.

Inspiration: The initial spark of an idea often fills me with excitement and enthusiasm. This is a highly motivating phase where everything seems possible.
Creativity: As I dive into the creative process, I experience a sense of flow and fulfillment. This is when my imagination is at its peak, and I feel deeply connected to my work.
Challenge: Designing isn't without its challenges. When faced with obstacles, I feel a sense of determination and focus. Overcoming these hurdles is both satisfying and rewarding.
Satisfaction: Seeing my vision take shape gives me a deep sense of satisfaction and pride. Watching a design evolve from a concept to a finished product is incredibly fulfilling.
Frustration: Not everything goes according to plan, and there are moments of frustration and disappointment. However, these moments are opportunities for growth and learning.
Anticipation: As I approach the completion of a design, I feel a sense of anticipation and eagerness to see the final result and share it with others.
Pride: Finally, completing a design that meets or exceeds my expectations brings a strong sense of pride and accomplishment.
Emotions are an integral part of the creative process, making designing a deeply personal and rewarding experience.

When my designs are realized, I experience a wide range of emotions. There is joy and satisfaction in seeing a design come to life; it is incredibly rewarding. I feel immense pride in my work, knowing that my creativity and skills have culminated in something tangible and beautiful. The excitement of witnessing others' reactions to the design adds to the thrill. Sharing my work with clients, colleagues, and the world is exhilarating.
Completing a design project also brings a sense of relief. Knowing that all the hard work has paid off and the project has met my expectations is very reassuring.
In essence, the realization of a design often sparks new ideas and inspirations for future projects. It's a continuous cycle of creativity and innovation.

The success of a design is the result of several key factors. A successful design is flexible and adaptable and can evolve over time. It must be flexible enough to incorporate necessary changes and improvements based on user feedback and technological advancements. User feedback is essential for improving and refining the design. In terms of functionality, a design must effectively meet the designer's intended purpose and the needs and expectations of the users without compromising on usability.
Aesthetically, a visually appealing design can attract and engage users. The use of color, form, typography, and layout plays a significant role in creating an attractive design. Additionally, emotional connection can make the design memorable and impactful. A design that evokes emotions such as joy, comfort, or excitement can create a lasting impression.
Incorporating innovative elements can make a design stand out. This can include using new materials, technologies, or creative problem-solving approaches.
A successful design considers its environmental impact. Using sustainable materials and methods not only benefits the planet but also appeals to eco-conscious users.
Remember, the little things matter. Attention to small details can elevate a design from good to exceptional. This includes finishing touches, precision, and craftsmanship.

When giving a theme to designers, I consider the following key aspects to ensure a successful and impactful design:
1. Originality: The design should be unique and distinctive. Originality sets a design apart and makes it memorable. I encourage designers to think outside the box and bring fresh perspectives to the theme.
2. Creativity: Creativity is at the heart of any great design. It involves the innovative use of materials, forms, and techniques. I look for designs that showcase a high level of creativity and artistic expression.
3. Technicality: Technical expertise is crucial for the feasibility and functionality of the design. This includes the precision of construction, the quality of materials used, and the overall craftsmanship. A technically sound design ensures longevity and usability.
4. Wearability: For fashion-related designs, wearability is essential. The design should be comfortable, practical, and suitable for everyday use. It should meet the functional needs of the wearer while maintaining aesthetic appeal.
5. Marketability: A successful design must also have commercial appeal. It should resonate with the target audience and have the potential to succeed in the market. Understanding trends, consumer preferences, and market demands is key to creating a marketable design.

From my point of view, designers have several important responsibilities towards society and the environment:
1. Sustainability: Designers should prioritize sustainability by using eco-friendly materials and processes. This includes minimizing waste, reducing carbon footprints, and promoting recycling and upcycling in their designs.
2. Social Impact: Designers have the power to influence society positively. They should strive to create designs that promote inclusivity, accessibility, and diversity. Designs should cater to the needs of all users, including those with disabilities.
3. Ethical Practices: Adhering to ethical practices is crucial. This includes fair labor practices, ensuring safe working conditions, and avoiding exploitation in the production process.
4. Cultural Sensitivity: Designers should be culturally sensitive and respectful of different traditions and values. They should avoid cultural appropriation and strive to celebrate and honor diverse cultural heritage.
5. Innovation for Good: Designers should use their creativity and skills to solve societal and environmental challenges. This can involve designing products that improve quality of life, enhance education, or address health and safety issues.
6. Education and Awareness: Designers have a role in educating consumers about sustainable and ethical choices. They can raise awareness about the environmental and social impact of their designs and encourage responsible consumption.
7. Adaptability: In a rapidly changing world, designers should be adaptable and responsive to emerging societal and environmental needs. This involves staying informed about current issues and integrating new solutions into their designs.
By embracing these responsibilities, designers can contribute to a more sustainable, inclusive, and equitable world.

The design field is evolving rapidly, and its future is shaped by several key trends:
1. Sustainability: There is a growing emphasis on sustainable design. Designers are increasingly focusing on creating eco-friendly products and adopting sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact.

My last exhibition was on August 15, 2024, in Bulgaria. I haven't finalized the date for my next exhibition yet, but I aim to showcase my designs in mid-2025.

-Nature: One of my biggest sources of inspiration is nature. Patterns, colors, textures, and natural forms provide an endless supply of fresh ideas for my designs.
- Art Galleries and Museums: Visiting galleries and museums helps me observe and analyze various forms of art and design, drawing inspiration from them.
-Everyday Life: Sometimes, the simple things we see in our everyday life can be inspiring, such as an old building, a scene from nature, or even a common object.
-Social Media and Internet: Following other designers and artists on social media, blogs, and design websites allows me to stay updated with new trends and ideas.
-Books and Magazines: Reading books and magazines related to design, art, and even other topics can provide new insights and ideas.
-Traveling: Traveling to new places and experiencing different cultures is a great source of inspiration and creativity. The architecture, arts, and ways of life in various places can add new perspectives to my design work.

I am interested in simple yet challenging design styles. I tend to use clean lines, simple forms, and a limited color palette to keep my designs clear and elegant. My goal is to create designs that are not only beautiful but also functional. I believe that simplicity and clarity in design can have a greater impact and make it easier for users to connect with it.
In general, my design focus includes:
1. Clean lines and simple forms: Creating elegant and functional designs using simple forms and clean lines.
2. Smart use of negative space: Balancing and emphasizing important elements through intelligent use of empty space.
3. Limited and harmonious color palette: Using few and coordinated colors to create harmony and consistency in design.
4. User-focused design: Creating practical and effective solutions by considering the needs and experiences of users.
My design approach is based on thorough research and a deep understanding of the project's needs and objectives. I start by analyzing problems and gathering information, then proceed to brainstorming and creating prototypes. Throughout the process, I collect feedback and make necessary adjustments to achieve the best possible outcome.

I live in Iran, a country with a rich and ancient history and culture. Iran's cultural heritage, from patterns and arts to historical architecture, provides an endless source of inspiration for my designs and creates a strong and unique background for creating artistic works.
However, the unique circumstances in Iran also bring about certain challenges. On the one hand, these challenges drive Iranian designers to be more creative and find more innovative solutions. These conditions push us towards self-sufficiency and the use of domestic resources, thereby turning threats into opportunities.
On the other hand, limited access to some international resources and technologies can complicate the design process. These limitations sometimes lead to missed opportunities for talented designers who, despite their hard work to advance, lack access to necessary tools and technologies, which can, in the long run, lead to a decrease in motivation.

When I collaborate with companies, I bring a unique blend of creativity, innovation, and precision to every project. My approach is highly client-centric, ensuring that the specific needs and goals of each company are thoroughly understood and met.
1. Initial Consultation: The process begins with an in-depth consultation to discuss the company’s vision, goals, and requirements. This helps me tailor my approach to align perfectly with their expectations.
2. Concept Development: I then move on to the concept development phase, where I brainstorm and sketch various ideas. This phase involves regular feedback sessions with the company to ensure we are on the right track.
3. Design Execution: Once a concept is approved, I meticulously work on the design execution. I use the latest design tools and technologies to create high-quality, innovative, and functional designs.
4. Collaborative Process: Throughout the project, I maintain open communication with the company, providing regular updates and seeking input to refine the design further. This collaborative approach ensures that the final product meets the company's standards and expectations.
5. Delivery and Support: After the project is completed, I deliver the final designs along with any necessary documentation. I also offer post-delivery support to address any additional needs or modifications.
Value Proposition:
- Innovation: I bring fresh and creative ideas that help companies stand out in the market.
- Customization: Each project is tailored to the specific needs and goals of the company, ensuring a unique and effective design solution.
- Quality: I am committed to delivering high-quality work that meets the highest standards of excellence.
- Timeliness: I ensure that all projects are completed within the agreed timelines, without compromising on quality.
By working with me, companies can expect a dedicated partner who is committed to turning their vision into reality and achieving outstanding results.

Here are my suggestions for companies working with a designer and selecting a good one:
1. Clearly Define Goals and Expectations: Before starting the project, companies should clearly define their goals, expectations, and requirements. Providing a detailed brief helps designers understand the project scope and deliver the desired results.
2. Research and Review Portfolios: Companies should take the time to research and review portfolios of potential designers. Looking at previous work can give insights into the designer's style, skills, and suitability for the project.
3. Evaluate Communication Skills: Effective communication is crucial for a successful collaboration. Companies should assess a designer's communication skills during initial meetings to ensure they can clearly articulate ideas and understand feedback.
4. Look for Versatility and Adaptability: A good designer should be versatile and adaptable to different styles and project requirements. Companies should look for designers who can demonstrate a range of skills and the ability to tailor their work to specific needs.
5. Check References and Testimonials: Companies should ask for references and read testimonials from previous clients. This can provide valuable insights into the designer's reliability, work ethic, and ability to meet deadlines.
6. Prioritize Collaboration and Openness: Companies should seek designers who value collaboration and are open to feedback. A collaborative approach ensures that the final design aligns with the company's vision and objectives.
7. Discuss Budget and Timeline: It's important to have open discussions about budget and timeline expectations. Companies should ensure that the designer can deliver high-quality work within the agreed-upon timeframe and budget.
8. Assess Problem-Solving Abilities: Designers often face challenges and need to come up with creative solutions. Companies should look for designers who demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling issues.
By following these suggestions, companies can select a good designer and establish a productive and successful working relationship.

1. Research and Information Gathering: I start by researching the project's requirements, target market, and similar cases. This stage includes interviews, case studies, and competitor analysis.
2. Ideation: Based on the collected information, I begin brainstorming. At this stage, I use sketches and preliminary designs to visualize my ideas.
3. Design Development: After selecting the best ideas, I start developing them. This stage includes creating 3D models and prototypes to review and improve the design.
4. Evaluation and Feedback: I share my designs with the team or clients and receive feedback. I use this feedback to improve my designs.
5. Finalization and Presentation: After refining and finalizing the design, I prepare it for presentation. This includes creating high-quality renders and animations for the final presentation.
6. Implementation and Testing: Finally, I implement and test the final design to ensure its functionality and quality.
These steps help me maintain an organized and effective design process and create high-quality and impactful designs.

Here are five of my favorite design items at home:

5. Minimalist Coffee Table: The minimalist coffee table in my living room is both functional and elegant. Its sleek design with clean lines and a simple structure complements the overall aesthetic of my home while providing practical storage and display space.

A day in my life as a designer is a blend of creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. My day typically starts with a cup of coffee and a review of my current projects and tasks. I spend the morning brainstorming ideas, sketching concepts, and refining designs. Collaboration is key in my work, so I often have meetings with clients, team members, or other stakeholders to discuss project requirements, gather feedback, and make necessary adjustments.
In the afternoon, I dive into the more technical aspects of design. This involves using various design software to create detailed layouts, prototypes, and mockups. I pay close attention to detail and ensure that every element of the design is aligned with the project goals and user needs.
Throughout the day, I stay inspired by exploring new design trends, reading industry articles, and engaging with the design community. I also take breaks to recharge, as I believe that a fresh mind leads to better creativity and productivity.
Towards the end of the day, I review my progress, make any final tweaks, and prepare for the next steps. I find great satisfaction in seeing my designs come to life and knowing that they positively impact users and clients.
Each day brings new challenges and opportunities, making my role as a designer both exciting and fulfilling.

1. Stay Curious: Design is constantly evolving. Be open to learning new things, exploring different styles, and staying updated with industry trends.
2. Embrace Feedback: Constructive criticism is invaluable. Use it to improve your skills and grow. Don't take it personally; see it as an opportunity to get better.
3. Build a Strong Portfolio: Your portfolio is your best marketing tool. Showcase your best work and include a variety of projects that demonstrate your versatility.
4. Network: Connect with other designers, attend industry events, and be active in design communities. Networking can lead to collaborations, job opportunities, and valuable advice.
5. Understand Your Audience: Great design solves problems. Always consider the needs and preferences of the people who will use your design.
6. Keep Practicing:Consistent practice helps you refine your skills. Take on personal projects, experiment with new techniques, and never stop creating.
7. Stay True to Yourself: While it's important to understand trends and styles, don't lose your unique voice. Authenticity can set you apart in a crowded field.
8. Learn the Business Side: Understanding the business aspects of design, like pricing, contracts, and client management, can be incredibly beneficial.

Overall, being a designer is a fulfilling profession that offers many opportunities for creativity, impact, and growth, but it also comes with its own set of challenges.

The time required to design an object from start to finish depends on various factors, including the complexity of the project, the client's needs, the processes used, and the available resources. However, generally speaking, I can explain that this process includes the following stages:
1. Research and Information Gathering: At this stage, the project's requirements, target market, and similar cases are examined. This stage includes interviews, case studies, and competitor analysis.
2. Ideation and Sketching: Based on the collected information, brainstorming and creating initial designs begin. At this stage, sketches and preliminary models are used to visualize ideas.
3. Design Development: After selecting the best ideas, their development and improvement are carried out. This stage includes creating 3D models and prototypes to review and enhance the design.
4. Evaluation and Feedback: Designs are shared with the team or clients, and feedback is received. This feedback is used to improve the designs.
5. Finalization and Presentation: After refining and finalizing the design, it is prepared for presentation. This includes creating high-quality renders and animations for the final presentation.
6. Implementation and Testing: Finally, the final design is implemented and tested to ensure its functionality and quality.
In general, designing an object can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on the complexity and scale of the project.
