Designer Interview

17 April 2019

I am an Interior designer by discipline, I loved it actually but I take an interest in many things. I was a maths student in my early years in high school actually and I still remember in year 8, I got a D- from my art teacher. At 17, I knew but was very scared however with a leap of faith and a friend's encouragement I chose. It's really right for me but I probably would have said the same thing if I had ended up being a photographer or a chef something. As long as I get to have ideas I'm good.

It's balancing and subtracting.

I like interior, furniture and jewelry. I think in general, something I can realize and touch. For example I don't have the same high when I think about graphics and multimedia.

I don't know if there's a favorite.

A sales center if you don't count a tiny bar.

No rules there I think but in general after a jog.

Depends on the project

It's all linked. The balance of these aspects.

Is somebody supposed to really know the answer to the future of design? I don't.

I'm painting a lot recently. I'll tell you if I have one. If ever.

Changes all the time and hopefully continues to.

Right now I live in Beijing

I think, I draw, I get stuck, I leave it, sleep, run walk cook or whatever and start again.

Not really, it changes all the time. The only constant the last few years is either running or meditating.

None. Wait, maybe this. After about after 3/4 years working as a designer, I noticed that for most projects whatever I'm working on I usually do arrive at a point when I feel it's the right solution. Not think but feel and if I don't get there I usually don't stop.

The ability to see it in your head and hopefully feel it.
