Ịma Aka Imepụta
This project posed a significant challenge in bringing together ceramic and brass, given the unpredictability of the ceramic molds and the precise fit required for the brass handles. Overcoming these challenges involved extensive experimentation and fine-tuning of the design in achieving the desired balance of form and function, resulting in a stunning brooch that showcases the fusion of multiple materials in a seamless and captivating way.
Nchọpụta
This research aimed to create a line of high-end handmade jewelry and accessories that blend the sophistication of fine art with the practicality of everyday use. To achieve this goal, we carefully selected vital elements, such as intricate brass drawings, spherical diameters, and molds, and subjected them to a series of trials to showcase their unique qualities in the design of a brooch. Through iterative prototyping, we refined the design to ensure a perfect balance of form and function, resulting in a stunning final product that epitomizes the fusion of art and wearability.
Mkpali
The inspiration for this brooch lies in a passion for incorporating the elegance of fine art into the ordinary and redefining the boundaries of wearability. The design blends diverse materials and motifs, such as circular ceramic spheres, to evoke the undulating flow of waves and the soft curves of a woman's body. The concept is rooted in the idea of harmony and equilibrium that emerges from a juxtaposition of divergent elements, drawing inspiration from the works of Kusama and the intrinsic allure of human form and natural surroundings.
