Tentang Safety Pin Cincin

Safety Pin adalah cincin berbentuk peniti yang sepenuhnya berfungsi. Cincin ini melingkupi tiga jari pemakainya dan juga dapat digunakan sebagai bros, liontin, atau peniti. Safety Pin dibuat dari emas kuning 18 karat dan dihiasi batu permata warna-warni seberat 2,09 karat, dengan bobot total 14,40 gram. Sebuah model 3D disiapkan, kemudian purwarupa lilin dicetak dan dituang dalam emas. Hasil tuangan dirampungkan secara manual lalu dipoles. Batu-batu permata dipasang pada tempatnya, dan bagian-bagiannya kemudian disatukan. Rancangan ini bertujuan untuk tetap ringan, nyaman dikenakan, dan bernuansa jenaka.

Teknologi Produksi: Developed in the 3D Matrix program for the jewellery industry based on the Rhinoceros program, a 3D model was created. After the safety pin were grown by prototyping on a 3D printer from wax, the cast was made in gold. They were processed by hand and polished with jewellery threads, for the perfect shine of the gems and showing their cut, clarity and colour. After that, precious stones were fixed into the base product and only then the parts were connected into the final figurines.
Tantangan Desain: The number one challenge is to combine the design of the piece with its technical side while maintaining it lightweight, wearable and ergonomic.
Riset: Traditionally, jewellers have created static pieces for thousands of years. By adding movement to the jewellery I allow our pieces to come alive, inspired by the beauty of magic and nature. As a jeweller, my concept is to find ways to introduce kinetic effects and hidden secrets that are a unique joy to own.
Inspirasi: Invoking the magical wonderment of childhood, the Games collection fuses the fun with the fine. With their emphasis on actual play and irreverent references each piece has the dual purpose of encouraging daydreaming and lighthearted games
Durasi Proyek: The project started in January 2021 in London and finished in January 2022 in London. The overall process of production, improvements and quality check took about one year. These ring have never been exhibited before.
Alur Operasi: A Multifunctional Safety Pin ring can be transformed in to brooch, pendant or pin. Also, it could be stylised and worn on many occasions with additional charms.
