Renzo Concept

CNC machining ensures precision, while hand-finishing adds warmth, creating a timeless piece suited for any modern interior.
- The hardest part of this design was blending the natural qualities of solid wood with modern aesthetics. The challenge was to curve the wood without compromising its strength, while keeping the design visually light. Traditional woodworking techniques served as inspiration, but modern sustainable practices guided the concept. External factors like production feasibility and technological limitations also influenced the final design, ensuring a balance between creativity and practicality.

- The design research explored the relationship between natural materials and modern aesthetics, focusing on reimagining solid wood in contemporary furniture. I used a qualitative approach, conducting interviews with artisans, analyzing designs, and gathering data from surveys and workshops.
