Animal Backbone je interijer maloprodajne trgovine smješten u Šangaju, unutar povijesne zgrade koja je nekada služila kao klaonica, a danas je kulturni i kreativni centar. Prostor obuhvaća 100 četvornih metara i izgrađen je od metalnih ploča, ogledala i stakla. Tlocrt prati putanju kretanja mačke, a krug razdvaja unutarnje i vanjske zone. Vrata i prozori omogućuju poglede između dviju zona, dok su unutar prostora raspoređeni prizori dnevnog boravka, blagovaonice, kuhinje i kupaonice. Dizajn potiče promišljanje o ljudima i životinjama koji dijele grad.
