השמש מהמזרח היא עיצוב תדמית לאירוע שנוצר עבור אוניברסיטת עיצוב. השמש משמשת כאלמנט החזותי המרכזי, מכיוון שהשמש זורחת במזרח ומשקפת גם את שם בית הספר וגם את צמיחתו היציבה לאורך השנים. עיגולים וצורות גיאומטריות נוספות מהווים את האלמנטים הבסיסיים, וההרכב הסופי עוצב לאחר תהליך בדיקות ממושך. העיצוב יושם על פוסטרים, ספרים וכרטיסי הזמנה. פילם בהיר ופילם מעורפל הוחלו על אזורים נבחרים במהלך ההדפסה כדי להדגיש את הגרפיקה. הפוסטרים נמדדים 70 על 100 סנטימטרים.
