Fresh é unha aplicación móbil deseñada para reducir o desperdicio de alimentos no fogar. Fresh escanea as listas da compra do supermercado para rexistrar os alimentos adquiridos, e os usuarios poden engadir os artigos a unha páxina de frigorífico virtual. A aplicación fai un seguimento da vida útil de cada produto e marca os artigos con caixas de aviso verdes, amarelas e vermellas segundo a frescura restante. Os lembretes axudan aos usuarios a consumir os alimentos antes de que se estraguen. Fresh tamén ofrece informes semanais de desperdicio de alimentos e estatísticas acumulativas que fomentan un consumo sostible. A aplicación está dispoñible para iOS e Android.

Propiedades Únicas: Due to the current situation of food discarding caused by overbuying and leaving in the refrigerator, this app was designed. The app will record the shelf life of food and distinguish the food with different shelf life in the refrigerator through green, yellow and red prompt boxes to avoid food discarding. In addition, the app provides weekly wasted food reports and cumulative statistics to educate users about sustainable consumption and reducing food discarding.

Tecnoloxía de Produción: People can use this app to scan supermarket shopping lists to get food purchase records and add food to the app. App will track the shelf life of food and remind people to avoid aliment wasting. In addition, the application also provides weekly waste food reports and cumulative statistics to educate users on sustainable consumption and reduce aliment discarding.
Reto de Deseño: When this app is fully technically feasible, the only challenge is how to call on more people to use this app. We use visual graphics with a sense of design and differentiated prompt boxes to remind users. To be sure, the more people use this app, the less food will be wasted.
Investigación: With the development of material conditions, people used to overbuying food and forget the them in the refrigerator, resulting in a huge discarding of food. Based on this huge social problem, several extensive interviews was conducted with Chinese community residents, surveying their shopping and food storage in their refrigerators. After many discussions and user interviews with students majoring in design at Zhejiang University, the app was finally designed to skillfully educate users about sustainable consumption and reducing food discarding.
Inspiración: It is estimated that a third of all food produced each year, equivalent to 1.3 billion tons of food worth about 1 trillion U.S. dollars, ends up rotting in consumer and retailer trash bins or spoiled by improper transportation and harvesting.Sadly, people get in the habit of buying too much aliment, or forgetting to eat it before its sell-by date, leading to huge aliment discarding.
Duración do Proxecto: This project started in January 2022 in Hangzhou, China, and it is still under developing.
Fluxo de Operacións: First, scan the supermarket shopping list with the app, and the screen will get the purchased food. Users can drag specific foods to the "my fridge" page. App will actually record the shelf life of food and distinguish the different shelf life of food in the refrigerator through green, yellow and red prompt boxes to remind to avoid wasting. In addition, the application also provides weekly waste food reports and cumulative waste food statistics to educate users on sustainable consumption and reduce aliment waste.
