Laodian Shanzhai est un projet d'architecture intérieure de restaurant situé à Kunming, en Chine. D'une superficie de 1700 mètres carrés, il met en valeur la culture culinaire des minorités ethniques du Yunnan. Des lanternes chinoises traditionnelles, déclinées en formes variées, instaurent l'atmosphère de l'ensemble de l'espace. Fils teints et étoffes ethniques se conjuguent à des évocations de rizières en terrasses, d'un foyer central, de moulins à vent et d'un puits ancien. Des couleurs vives et un travail minutieux de la lumière et de l'ombre confèrent à l'intérieur un caractère frais et élégant. L'objectif est de transmettre la tradition régionale à un public plus jeune.
