La police de caractères 87MM Ilsang est conçue en tenant compte des valeurs quotidiennes portées par la marque 87MM. La police oblique en coréen constitue une première en Corée. En interprétant les chiffres 8 et 7 comme le ratio et l'angle de la police, la surface des lettres a été conçue selon un rapport de 8:7, et la taille des lettres fermées parmi les consonnes du Hangeul (alphabet coréen) a été ajustée selon ce ratio. Les angles de 8 et 7 degrés ont été utilisés comme éléments morphologiques tels que le fût et la terminaison afin d'harmoniser les caractéristiques de l'écriture manuscrite qui apparaissent lors de l'écriture oblique.

- By interpreting the numbers 8 and 7 as the ratio and angle of the font, the area of the letters was designed as a space of 8:7, and the size of the closed letters among the consonants of Hangeul was adjusted using this ratio. - When designing fonts, it is common to expand the font family to thickness. However, in East Asia, along with Korean fonts, there is no concept of Western italic fonts or oblique fonts due to the culture of writing using brushes and writing in the vertical direction. Therefore, the font family was intended to be expanded to general and inclined bodies, not to be expanded by thickness. The oblique font in Korean is the first font to be attempted in Korea.
- Inspiration
- The font of 87MM Ilsang is designed with consideration for the daily value pursued by the 87MM brand. Ordinary days that repeat every day gather to create a daily life. However, even if he repeat the same pattern, He wanted to create a font where he could discover new meanings and fun in ordinary things in his daily life and feel the specialty of something a little different. Therefore, 87MM Ilsang has a unique color of 87MM in its ordinary textual Min-Buri (Sans Serif) font.

- The project began in Seoul, South Korea in March 2021 and ended in January 2022. You can download and use the font for free from January 2022.
