دختران و شطرنج یک تصویرسازی نشریه‌ای است که برای مقالات و کمپین‌های مرتبط با برابری جنسیتی خلق شده است. این اثر دو دختر را در حال بازی شطرنج نشان می‌دهد. یکی از دختران مهره‌ی شاه را واژگون می‌کند در حالی که دیگری نظاره‌گر است. شاهِ واژگون‌شده نمادی از فروپاشی هنجارهای مردسالارانه است. دو رنگ متضاد، نارنجی و آبی، برای کاوش در هویت‌های دوگانه و بیان حالت‌های موقعیتی متفاوت به کار رفته‌اند. این تصویرسازی به صورت یک تصویر دیجیتال با کیفیت بالا تولید شده است، به گونه‌ای که امکان اشتراک‌گذاری آنلاین و چاپ آن در اندازه‌های مختلف فراهم باشد.
