Acerca de Magic Blocks Mesa de centro
Magic Blocks es un conjunto de tres mesas de centro fabricadas en acero inoxidable. Las varillas se unen a mano mediante soldadura con gas inerte de tungsteno y se acaban con un recubrimiento en polvo. Las superficies pintadas se ofrecen en distintos colores y son aptas para uso en interiores y exteriores. Las tres mesas tienen alturas diferentes, por lo que las piezas pueden superponerse o utilizarse de forma independiente. Las distintas combinaciones crean efectos de perspectiva y superposición de color dentro de una estancia. Cuando no están en uso, las mesas pueden contemplarse como objetos artísticos en el hogar. Las formas son estrictamente horizontales y verticales, y sus volúmenes se mantienen básicos y sin ornamentación.

- Tecnología de Producción
- Made of stainless steel, the rods are joined together by craft welders using tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding methods; and finished in powder coating treatment.The surface is painted in different colors, suitable for indoors and outdoors.
- Desafío de Diseño
- In the design, designer strictly employ shapes in horizontal and vertical formats; and when shapes and forms are utilized, it will have to be the most basic unadorned geometric forms.The challenge is to find the geometric shapes to place through to increase the perspective of the table.The hardest part of the design activity is in the production of the tables.The simplicity and clarity of the design requires good precision in the welding, almost seeking perfect in machinated beauty but in the form of craft.Also in terms of measurements, a slight deviation will make a drastic visual effect hence accuracy and consistence is important in the making.

- The research is based on the rediscovery of space, perspective and color, and on the impact that on furniture and interior spaces. Which got others further into a dialogue on the idea of design being conscious in intent, and also how can design be deconstructed to derive a level of novelty besides its dominant principles.

- Is design often conscious with intent? Does the design often use a sense of space? How can deconstruction and perspective design bring novelty besides its dominant principles?Inspired by spatial illusion, the result is a set of steel interpretation accentuated by its surface and colors.This experiential project exemplifies an exploration of systematic practice, visual interactions and human experiences.This experimental project is an example of exploration of visual perspective and exploration.

- The project started in 2016 in Taipei.A prototype was made in 2018 in Taipei. Photo in 2019.
