Acerca de Blue Daisy Pendientes Multifuncionales

Las margaritas son flores compuestas con dos flores combinadas en una, una sección interior y una sección exterior de pétalos. Simboliza la interconexión de dos que representan el amor verdadero o el vínculo definitivo. El diseño se combina con la singularidad de la flor de la margarita, lo que permite al usuario llevar la de múltiples maneras. La elección de los zafiros azules para los pétalos es enfatizar la inspiración para la esperanza, el deseo y el amor. Los zafiros amarillos elegidos para el pétalo central de la flor envuelven al usuario para sentir una sensación de alegría

Propiedades Únicas: Blue Daisy is a hand fabricated piece meant for elegant, versatile though it may sound technical but a feminine one. One of the methods is to wear for both earrings as dangling. Another method is to wear as stud only. The last method is one earring wear as stud and the other side as dangle. It suits wearer whom like to mix and match or wear at different occasions. The choices of gems are blue sapphire for petals and yellow sapphires at the center with white metal for ring which in contrast. The petals were made unequal to make the design more alive as it is floating.

Tecnología de Producción: Number of sketches were made for design elements such as size, shape, arrangement and practicality. I also used clay and paper cut to assist me better. Discussions between manufacturer, checking result or progress at every stage was utmost important for accuracy, good workmanship and common understanding.
Desafío de Diseño: The most challenging was the technical part of the connector and hook whereby it must be practical, and yet unnoticeable. And consider the weight and the dangle effect on ears. Traditional butterflies stud didn’t apply, instead round stud with add on circle was created to avoid droopy earrings. Couple of trial and errors made and communication to manufacturer also has taken up some time.
Investigación: Firstly, to check the characteristic of the flower such as the petals, colors and composites. Actual flowers and pictures were gathered. Then, ratio and size of the flower was taken. Multiple sketches were made in order to translate it into jewelry. Other than basic tools, clay was used for initial concept and changes. It then translated into wax carving as a model before fabricated it to the shapes and form. Technical part such as size, weight, hook, tail and flexibility were also tested to ensure meeting the versatility yet modelling blue daisy without compromising the practicality.
Inspiración: The inspiration was from blue daisy flower which the color is rare, unique and mystic in compare to pink or peach daisies. Imagined the daisy is dangling. Flower on ear lope can be seen as old-fashioned but not it can be trendy too. First, just only wear the earrings stud for casual and simplicity. Second, hook on the daisies to each side of the earrings stud. Lastly, hook on both daisies to one side of the earrings stud only. The earrings was created for flexibility and different outcomes.
Duración del Proyecto: This piece started in June 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and ended August 2018.
Flujo de Operación: Blue Daisy is meant for multifunctional or interchangeable. From casual to more luxury feel at different occasions. It is very simple to operate. Just hook onto one another from a tiny tail hidden behind. No pressure is needed. It is safe to wear as the tail was designed with the flow of the outer shape with certain length requirement. To remove simply follow the flow to unhook.
