Acerca de The Mountain View Complejo Cultural de Uso Mixto

Mountain View es un complejo cultural de uso mixto creado a partir de la rehabilitación de un edificio existente en Shenzhen, China. El complejo abarca 6.000 metros cuadrados y reúne una tienda, un restaurante, una galería de arte, un teatro y espacios de trabajo. Una galería al aire libre rodea el patio central y conecta las distintas áreas. Pilares de acero de sección rectangular, dispuestos en una retícula, sostienen dicha galería. Entre los materiales se incluyen cemento autonivelante, acero corten, bambú laminado, vidrio extraclaro y ladrillo de vidrio. El edificio ofrece un espacio sereno para eventos culturales y para el encuentro social en contacto con la naturaleza y el arte.

Propiedades Únicas: Both the client and architects saw new possibilities, hoping to bring people back to the building and feel the unique beauty of nature. The client wished to incorporate new designs and a business mode centering on cultural and creative activities into the building. Therefore, architects renovated and repurposed the building, aiming to create a distinctive and mix-used cultural complex, which integrates diversified functional spaces such as store, restaurant, art gallery, theater, workspace, etc.

Tecnología de Producción: Around the central courtyard is an open-air veranda, which not only links different areas but also blends the space into nature. The veranda is supported by rectangular steel pillars, which are arranged in a matrix, endowing the space with a sense of lightness and order. The restaurant floor is covered by various materials including greenery, pebbles, corrosion-resistant wooden panels and cement, to demarcate different functional spaces.
Desafío de Diseño: The design team had to optimize spatial layout to incorporate multiple operations. Besides, many indicators of the old building could no longer meet current standards in China, which posed a huge challenge. To solve this, the design team worked out many corresponding solutions, and kept a close eye on on-site construction, hence obtaining a safe, beautiful building which meets existing standards.
Investigación: Since completion, a lot of drama festivals, lectures, art exhibitions and events have been held in the building, which has attracted a large number of local citizens. The project is situated in a cultural and creative park where plenty of design studios have settled in. As an artistic and cultural complex, The Mountain View complements the park, and provides urbanites with a "slow space", which enables them to socialize and interact with nature and art.

Location: Building 6, Xiangshan Village, Xiangshan Street Community, Shahe Sub-district, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, China
Flujo de Operación: Based on the surrounding business environment, the architects decided to carry out transformation and renovation based on three key points: combination of art and commerce, complementarity of catering space and workspace, and branding-oriented spatial operation. The spatial design was intended to connect different areas and commercial operations as much as possible. In addition, the architects conceived multiple combinations of spaces to adapt to commercial operations in the building.
