Since childhood, I have been interested in calligraphy and painting, and aesthetics has always been a serious concern for me. At the age of fourteen, I received my first payment for designing a student magazine. That small moment gradually brought me closer to the world of design.
Over the years, I came to realize that this passion was not temporary but my true language for communicating with the world, a language so important to me that I was even expelled from university because of pursuing it.

After nearly ten years of working with various companies as a graphic designer and art director, our studio was founded in 2013. In the beginning, my main goal was to bring my personal sense of aesthetics and perspective into the projects, a space where I could both work and earn a living while enjoying the creative and playful aspects of the profession.
Gradually, however, the results of our projects and their impact in the market led us toward a more professional path.

For me, design means solving a problem that may seem simple on the surface, yet behind it lies the creation of beauty and the offering of a fresh perspective on the world.
I am most drawn to projects that allow space for creativity, where the client is engaged and involved in the creative process. Collaborations that are full of energy and interaction. Projects that have a consistent DNA across all their elements, yet remain dynamic enough to explore freely and leave a fresh imprint. Above all, I am most passionate about projects focused on creating brand identities.

What truly matters is finding the solution that best fits the particular demands of each project.
The first project I completed for a company was designing a flyer and menu for a restaurant.
When ideas take shape through the interaction and collaboration of a team with diverse perspectives and expertise.
My top priority is functionality and addressing the client’s needs. Alongside this, I follow professional design standards, and ultimately, I strive to create work that I find aesthetically fulfilling and that reflects my personal vision.
When a design reaches the execution stage, my first response is always excitement. Seeing an idea come to life is incredibly satisfying. After that initial joy, my attention turns to feedback and fine-tuning, ensuring the work continues to improve.
A successful design begins with a clear and deep understanding of the brief and the client’s needs. The next step is choosing the right direction and style for the design. However, the truth is that all of this only comes to life when the designer brings the story to life through their own visual language, fueled by genuine passion and commitment.
First, I carefully review the brief, assessing how well the design addresses the project’s needs and requirements. Next, I focus on creativity; examining how a fresh and intelligent idea responds to the given challenge and how the design exceeds expectations.
A designer’s role is to introduce new currents of thought and perception by elevating aesthetics and shaping the audience’s taste. Additionally, considering the practicality of ideas and leveraging today’s technology allows us as designers to execute significant projects more efficiently and in ways that are more environmentally sustainable.
My sources of inspiration are simple images and the everyday moments of life; everything I observe in my surroundings from morning to night. In addition, I dedicate time to studying and analyzing successful global projects.
Living in Iran and the UAE has had a profound impact on my thinking and design approach, yet I have always strived to think beyond geographical boundaries. This broad perspective may be one of the reasons behind our studio’s success.
Various companies turn to us to address their diverse needs in areas such as brand strategy and positioning, visual identity design, brand naming, packaging design, brand refresh, brand architecture, exhibition and booth design, motion design, and web design and development. These collaborations are built on a foundation of shared understanding, trust, and continuous interaction.
My advice to companies is to do research before signing a contract, carefully reviewing the designer’s portfolio and past projects. True collaboration, however, begins the moment a two-way interaction is established; when the designer and the client come together with a shared goal.
A successful project is the result of a thoughtful balance. Design should neither be sacrificed entirely to the client’s preferences nor should the project’s real needs be overridden by the designer’s personal taste. Only when this balance is achieved can the desired outcome be reached.

There is no teacher better than hands-on experience with new and diverse projects. So roll up your sleeves and dive in without fear; you will notice your growth much sooner than you expect.
Understanding the client’s needs and goals before starting the design process, and adding a unique and fresh contribution to our world while maintaining a balance between form, narrative, and the brand or product’s content.
With the understanding that our presence in the commercial space demands speed and precise timing, project management in our team follows a modern and meticulous approach. We break each project into smaller components and, through regular interaction with the client, deliver the final output in the most efficient timeframe possible.
The answer to this question may vary depending on who is asking. Young designers are usually interested in understanding the challenges I have faced in past projects, where to start, and which path to follow. On the other hand, our clients tend to ask about the process of collaborating with us and the journey we take together from the beginning to the end of a project.
My most important professional experience has been developing a deep understanding of the client’s business, accurately identifying the project’s needs, and establishing effective and continuous communication with them. These three elements form the foundation of every successful project.
Our clients span a wide range of industries and sectors, from packaging, food, and consumer goods (FMCG) to the entertainment world, including films, TV series, music albums, and concerts. We have also had the privilege of collaborating with cultural and artistic festivals and events, as well as large businesses and organizations in sectors such as banking, pharmaceuticals, cafes, and restaurants.
As I mentioned earlier, every project brings its own unique appeal through different challenges. However, I find projects particularly exciting when they have a broader scope and are visible on a national or global scale.
Looking ahead, we plan to extend our reach beyond geographical limits and increase our involvement in international projects. Collaborating with prominent global brands and providing innovative solutions is a challenge that truly excites us.
Our work is entirely team-based. Designs are the result of close collaboration among a group of specialists, each contributing their perspective and skills to create a cohesive and impactful project. This interaction and team synergy allow ideas to fully flourish in their proper form.

Grand Interview
19 November 2025 · Jo Cafe and Restaurant
Our aim was to craft a visual language that, while contemporary and modern, could resonate emotionally with multiple generations. To achieve this, we kept forms and compositions minimal and clean, yet enriched them with warm, tangible details such as hand-drawn illustrations, natural colors, and subtle textures that evoke familiarity and comfort.
The choice of green as the core brand color was inspired by both the Persian meaning of “Jo” (barley grain) and the brand’s heritage. Green symbolizes growth, sustainability, and nature; perfectly aligned with the restaurant’s vision of placing fresh ingredients, wholesome cooking, and meaningful dining experiences at the heart of its offering.
The illustrations were built around culinary elements; food ingredients, spices, utensils, and cookware. We first created a library of visual motifs directly inspired by JO’s menu, then integrated these into modular compositions that form a seamless visual storytelling system for the brand.
Since JO is about celebrating shared moments, the design approach across all touch points (from packaging and menus to digital platforms) was centered on creating a welcoming, communal atmosphere. Every design element was intended to make guests feel part of a shared experience.
To engage a wide age range, we avoided overly complex forms or restrictive visual codes. The illustrations are simple yet meaningful, while the color palette spans tones that feel vibrant and fun for children, yet refined and elegant for adults.
Packaging materials such as kraft paper, recycled cardboard, and wax paper were deliberately chosen to reflect the brand’s commitment to nature and sustainability. Through precise printing, modern composition, and minimal design, we ensured that environmental responsibility did not compromise the brand’s premium aesthetic.
The logotype strikes a balance between modern simplicity and a sense of exploration. Slightly exaggerated letterforms add playfulness, while maintaining readability, longevity, and brand consistency. Special attention was given to harmonizing the Persian and English logotypes to ensure a unified identity across languages.
Winning the A’ Design Award helped JO gain both domestic and international attention, serving as a model for restaurants in the region that value investing in visual identity, customer experience, and creative innovation.
The visual system was designed to be dynamic and adaptable across diverse platforms (from social media to environmental signage) without losing cohesion. This adaptability was achieved by considering the constraints and opportunities of each medium, allowing the design system to transform while retaining its core essence.
The typography was chosen to convey modernity and authenticity while avoiding market cliches. Its subtle contrasts ensure readability in busy environments while naturally drawing the eye, thus enhancing the guest’s overall brand experience.
Grand Interview
22 October 2025 · Amores Beauty Lounge
From the outset, our aim was not to directly quote the past, but to reinterpret it; a translation of heritage into the language of contemporary design. The geometric forms of traditional Arabic architecture were simplified and distilled into minimal expressions that resonate with a modern visual vocabulary. Cultural icons such as the palm tree, gazelle, and architectural monuments (symbols of the UAE’s identity) were paired with visual elements evoking beauty and femininity. Rather than literal depictions, they were reimagined through fine lines and textured patterns inspired by traditional printing techniques and regional textiles. This transformation allowed us to present the region’s heritage in a modern, global form while preserving its cultural authenticity.
Color was approached as both an emotional and cultural element from the very beginning. Our palette drew inspiration from the desert’s tonal gradients, the textures of traditional architecture, and the golden light of a Gulf sunset. These hues convey warmth, hospitality, and a sense of belonging, while feeling instantly relatable to a beauty brand audience. At the same time, their adaptability ensures seamless application across digital and physical touchpoints. This use of color not only differentiates Amores aesthetically but also forges an instinctive connection to the geography and soul of the region.
The logotype was crafted with a combination of elongated lines and gentle curves, striking a balance between poise and delicacy. Particular attention was given to the interplay of positive and negative space to avoid overly seductive or stereotypically feminine tropes. Another key consideration was harmonizing the English and Arabic versions of the logotype; maintaining visual cohesion despite the structural differences between the two scripts. This balance ensured that the logotype would resonate with a discerning Emirati audience while remaining appealing to a global market.
The strongest bridge between tradition and modernity in this project was created through our use of texture and rhythm. Motifs from Arabic architecture and nature were reimagined in modern compositions, with varied scales and unrestrained arrangements. The bespoke logotype and the combination of traditional craft techniques with a contemporary minimal approach allowed the identity to exist in that rare space between heritage and innovation.
Classic beauty industry symbols (such as mirrors, combs, and crowns) were stripped of excessive ornamentation and distilled into clean silhouettes. These were treated with stone-print textures and a nostalgic aesthetic, evoking vintage elegance while remaining relevant to today’s luxury standards. This visual language maintained a sense of heritage while seamlessly adapting to the refined, contemporary positioning of Amores.
In developing Amores’ product packaging (from skincare essentials to curated gift sets) our focus was on creating a visual and tactile experience that conveys both luxury and cultural connection. Forms were kept simple, universal, and minimal, yet operated firmly within the brand’s identity system. Artistic layering techniques and heritage-inspired textures added depth, while the color palette and modern layouts positioned the brand firmly on the global luxury stage. These elements ensured that the packaging functioned not merely as a container, but as an integral part of the brand experience; rooted in regional culture yet expressed in a contemporary, internationally relevant design language.
In Dubai’s competitive beauty market, the challenge was to stand out in a landscape where many brands rely on similar symbols, forms, and visual codes. We deliberately chose familiar motifs (such as palm trees, landmark architecture, and earthy tones) but approached them with a disruptive and unconventional methodology. Instead of using them in direct or predictable ways, we introduced them into modern compositions, unexpected scales, and purposefully innovative arrangements. This allowed the Amores identity to evoke a sense of familiarity and cultural belonging while simultaneously projecting freshness and boldness. In essence, we didn’t invent new symbols, we re-engineered existing ones, challenging the prevailing visual narrative of Dubai’s beauty sector.
The emblem representing women’s unity was developed as an interplay of interconnected lines (symbolizing community) balanced with distinct forms that preserve individual identity. This structure was inspired by the domed motifs of Arabic architecture, creating a subtle cultural link. The result reflects both the collective spirit of Amores’ audience and the refinement of the individual, making it a strong emblem for a brand rooted in empowerment and elegance.
The Amores project proved that when cultural heritage is reinterpreted with respect and precision, it can captivate even the most modern and global markets. This approach can serve as a blueprint for future projects; blending local authenticity with a global visual language, without falling into direct imitation or cultural cliché.
My advice to designers working on culturally rooted yet globally appealing projects is to begin with deep cultural research; but translate those insights into the language of today. Preserve authenticity while employing modern tools of design, typography, and color to make it universally engaging. Above all, avoid literal representation and instead seek metaphor and reinterpretation; because that is where your work transcends a single culture and speaks to the world.
