Design Interview

20 May 2014 · Massaya Packaging

A Package that is not Commercial and is Reusable. A package that will stand out in the supermarkets when placed next to commercial wine packs...

Not a commercial package.

Gain reputation in the Lebanese market.

It was commissioned by my client, Massaya.

It's produced and distributed in the Lebanese market by Diageo(beverage distributors).

Clients' request was so specific in wanting to have a different concept than the regular wine packs.

Wine connoisseurs.

The idea of being a book like package.

It's like a book and it can be easily reused.

My designers at the office at the conceptual stage and then after the design was approved, we worked with packaging specialists to prepare the technical drawing of the box. We did several trials to achieve this result.

Quite alot! Going back and forth with different trials of the box to achieve the perfect mold.

Design and market research.

The production of the box since the content is heavy, it was challenging to have the perfect mold.

Based on the result of the pre-judgement.

We learned to push our boundaries and learned that always a good and different design is appreciated and it takes you to places... Como Lake in this case :)

The trust that the client had in BRANDiT for doing a good job, a package that was sold out during the Christmas season!
