About Zhengyuanpu Travellers Series Pu'er Tea Packaging
Zhengyuanpu Travellers Series is a portable packaging design for Pu'er tea, a traditional Chinese drink. Pu'er tea is usually sold as pressed cakes of 357 grams, which must be pried open with a tea pin before brewing. The Travellers Series holds a small portion instead, so no tools are needed and the wrapper is simply torn open. Each wrapper measures 50 by 85 by 3 millimetres and is made of cotton paper. Embossing, debossing and foil stamping shape the tea image and suit the taste of the intended consumers. Safer materials and a simpler production process were selected.

- Pu'er tea is one of the most traditional drinks in China and is currently the most popular among the business elite. Pu’er tea, sold molded into flat cakes, 357g per cake, 5g for each brewing of Pu'er tea.Tasting Pu'er tea requires a lot of tools, one of the most important tool is the tea pin, which function is to pry open the teacake. The project adopts small size packaging, choose more secure materials and simpler manufacturing process, which is more in line with the aesthetic design of the target consumer .
