Design Details
- Unique Properties
- Centrestage 2025 showcased the Asian fashion scene as a high-impact platform where global designer brands, industry leaders, and emerging talents converge. Curated by HKTDC, the four-day event unfolded as an immersive fashion journey, blending runway spectacles, thought-provoking seminars, networking moments, and fashion tours. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Centrestage transformed Hong Kong into a vibrant nexus of creativity, collaboration, and future-forward fashion energy.
- Inspiration
- The inspiration started from translating a decade of transformation into a powerful spatial expression of empowerment. Inner strength was elevated into outward confidence through dynamic energy flow, vibrant blue and orange-red contrasts, and reflective stainless steel surfaces. A luminous central Power Generator visualized growth, momentum, and collective vitality, marking Centrestage's bold evolution and renewed influence within the fashion industry.
- Research
- By exploring atypical LED display formats, responsive interaction hubs and curated AI driven visual storytelling, the design seamlessly merged physical and digital realms to elevate audience participation, dwell time and experiential impact. A non traditional architectural approach - defined by slanted wall, stacked LED tower and suspended programmable LED rings - changed passive viewing with active engagement. Anchored by the interactive Power Hub, the space transformed visitors into participants, reinforcing themes of energy, growth and the upward momentum of the fashion industry.
- Challenge
- Over six months of intensive research, planning and industry trend analysis, the project confronted the challenge of integrating complex architectural elements and digital devices, AI generated content and real time interactivity into a cohesive, emotionally engaging environment. With the limited installation schedule, the design required precise coordination with project team, exhibitors and all consultants, ensuring smooth visitor flow and preserving a strong artistic vision that empowers active participation and spatial storytelling.
- Realization and Technology
- To create a fully immersive spatial experience, LED screens of varying scales and forms are precisely orchestrated along the main entrance hall. The journey began with a dramatic slanted LED wall and a 12 metre wide semi circular digital wall that enveloped the whole experience zone. At its core, a 4 metre tall interactive Power Hub tower with layers of stacking TV screens created the focal point of all. Together with the overhead radiant LED rings, it further energized the space with synchronized light, sound and media - delivering a powerful, fashion forward journey that captivates visitors from arrival to engagement.
- Operation and Interaction
- With the process of strategic venue design and thoughtful hall layout study, we balanced the visitors' journey from the overscale, interactive Power Hub entrance hall, through the six thematic zones with different color themes and characteristics, finally arriving at the spectacular fashion show hall for 600 guests. This deliberate sequence transformed visitors into active participants, reinforced the theme of energy awakening and growth, and optimized engagement through efficient crowd flow.
- Project Duration and Location
- Centrestage, a 4-day fashion event held from 3th to 6th September 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
- Specifications
- Spanning over 11,000 sqm, Centrestage 2025 was structured as a dynamic fashion event including an interactive entrance hall, six thematic zones, and three fashion show stages of varying scales, where we featured over 40 fashion shows and seminars during the fair. The spatial journey began at the immersive entrance hall, where LED screens of diverse sizes and geometries framed the arrival experience. A dramatic slanted LED wall and a 12 metre wide semi circular digital surface define the core experience zone.
