Design Details
- Unique Properties
- This project seamlessly blends 'American style' with 'customized requirements.' The basement is transformed into a high-end golf practice room with advanced simulators, catering to the male homeowner's sports needs. The open-plan first floor integrates the living room, dining room, and kitchen, featuring American-style doors and molding that enhance natural light. A functional kitchen layout includes an island, pantry, and bar for efficient circulation. Outdoors, a minimalist landscape and comprehensive lighting create a refined, modern atmosphere.
- Inspiration
- Located in Qing Shan Town complex, 'Qing Shan Sunshine' offers a lush natural setting and rich cultural atmosphere, attracting the homeowner's family to settle here. The design team customized the space to fit their lifestyle. The host, an avid golfer, transformed the basement into a practice room, while the hostess focused on optimizing the living, dining, kitchen, and laundry areas. Having studied in the U.S., the couple preferred an American-style design, shaping a home that reflects their unique way of living.
- Research
- Qing Shan Sunshine is a modern villa in Qing Shan Town, designed for harmonious living with American elegance. The combination of Morandi blue and pure white, clean lines, and natural light wood flooring creates a tranquil ambiance. The open-plan first floor features a living, dining, and kitchen area with three-sided windows for ample light. The basement serves as a golf practice room, while the upper floors include a study, music room, and private master suite. The minimalist outdoor space boasts a low-maintenance garden and BBQ area, enhanced by an automatic lighting system.
- Challenge
- The project faced challenges in integrating structure and functionality. The light steel structure renovation caused significant damage to interior walls during old decoration removal, requiring full panel replacement. Managing the host's need for instant hot water was complex, but the team installed a large tankless water heater and reinforced gas pipelines for consistent supply across floors. Additionally, updating fire-resistant materials was essential, with high-grade fire-resistant walls and ceilings adding complexity to construction while ensuring safety and durability.
- Realization and Technology
- The design centers on white, complemented by natural materials and light wood tones. Light wood-patterned laminate flooring creates a warm, natural ambiance, while sleek black iron square tube stair railings link the American style with the light-colored space. The color scheme primarily uses white with Morandi blue accents. The cabinetry is mostly white, with tailored color touches for each area-black accessories in the living room, and gold accents in the dining area. To ensure privacy, the windows feature a combination of honeycomb and Roman shades for optimal light control.
- Operation and Interaction
- The homeowners are highly satisfied with the project, considering it the perfect residence that meets the family's needs and showcases the designers' exceptional skills. The host particularly enjoys the golf practice area, while the lighting system, emphasizing outdoor living, has received praise. The hostess values the design of the kitchen and laundry areas. The children are thrilled with their access to reading and entertainment zones. The family appreciates every detail, especially the pandemic prevention and privacy features, feeling amazed and satisfied by the designers' professionalism.
- Project Duration and Location
- The project finished in Taiwan.
- Specifications
