About Aquaventure Outdoor Woundcare
Aquaventure is a portable wound care device designed for outdoor and emergency use. Water is drawn into a tank at the base, treated by silver ion disinfection, and then converted into low concentration hydrogen peroxide for cleaning wounds. A slider controls the power, and an interchange mechanism switches between a single stream for focused cleaning and a wider spray for general care. The casing is made of black aluminum alloy, and the transparent tank shows the water level. The compact device supports immediate first aid in remote locations.

Design Details
- Unique Properties
- In today’s fast-paced world, outdoor adventure activities, emergency response, and global exploration have become increasingly popular. Yet, with these activities come risks, and one of the most critical concerns in remote or rugged environments is the ability to manage injuries and clean wounds efficiently. Aquaventure offers a unique blend of portability, practicality, and advanced technology. Its integrated silver ion disinfection is the first layer of sterilization then it converts water into low-concentration hydrogen peroxid, making it essential for adventurers, first responders, emergency workers, and outdoor lovers.
- Inspiration
- The inspiration for Aquaventure stemmed from the powerful yet simple benefits of hydrogen peroxide in wound care. Recognizing its effectiveness in cleaning wounds but the challenge of transporting and storing it in outdoor or emergency scenarios, we sought to create a device that generates hydrogen peroxide on-demand. By harnessing this capability, AquaVenture provides a reliable and immediate solution, ensuring adventurers and first responders have access to sterilization whenever and wherever it's needed.
- Research
- Our research on Aquaventure aimed to harness hydrogen peroxide generation technology for portable outdoor wound care. We interviewed motorcycle riders, campers, first responders, and emergency personnel, discovering that many lack essential first aid supplies. This insight drove us to create a device that generates a wound cleaning solution from accessible water sources. By integrating silver ion technology for water purification, AquaVenture ensures safe hydrogen peroxide production, addressing the critical need for immediate first aid in remote and emergency situations.
- Challenge
- The hardest part of designing Aquaventure was ensuring that the generated hydrogen peroxide had a balanced volume and density. Medically, if the density is too high, it can harm the surrounding tissue while killing bacteria, making it critical to achieve the right concentration. To address this, we integrated two key modules: one for purifying water before it enters the hydrogen peroxide generator, and another to regulate the peroxide's concentration. Managing battery efficiency and functionality was another challenge.
- Realization and Technology
- The CMF strategy enhances Aquaventure’s marketability. The black aluminum alloy casing ensures durability and impact resistance, key factors for long lasting outdoor use, while its sleek, premium finish appeals to consumers seeking reliable, high performance gear. The dark orange transparent PVC water tank is not only functional for water level visibility but also visually distinctive, reflecting energy and safety. Together, these materials ensure the product’s ruggedness, reducing maintenance costs and enhancing its appeal to consumers who prioritize durability and long term value.
- Operation and Interaction
- Using Aquaventure is straightforward and user friendly. The device has a water tank at the bottom and a simple water intake mechanism. With an interchange mechanism, you can switch between modes: either a single stream of water for focused cleaning or a broader spray for general wound care. The slider controls power, allowing for easy on/off operation. Simply fill the tank, activate the slider, and choose the appropriate mode to ensure effective and timely wound disinfection.
