The stylishly designed Drop Sauna and Lodge come in black, white or natural wood colors. They are perfectly square with and eye catching large glass frontage signature styled in the shape of a drop. The wood employed is spruce-based cross-laminated timber which is an environmentally friendly, renewable and highly durable construction material. Drop outdoor Saunas and Lodges are meticulously crafted in Finland with the utmost attention to detail.

About Drop

Established in 2015, Drop is a design company renowned for its outdoor spas, design fires, and saunas. The Drop Spa, conceptualized by designer Nikolai Ruola, boasts a distinctive drop-shaped design. Meanwhile, the creative mind behind the design fires, saunas, and lodges is Sirena Kiviranta. The Drop Saunas and Lodges are available in black, white, or natural wood colors, with the option for custom colors. Featuring a striking square design with a large glass front shaped like a drop, these structures are crafted from environmentally friendly and durable spruce-based cross-laminated timber (CLT). Each sauna arrives fully prefabricated for easy assembly on a stable foundation.

Inspiration: Drop Sauna and Drop Lodge are places for relaxation and ideal places to re-connect with yourself and with the surrounding nature. The Drop shape was inspired by the minimalistic beauty of Finnish nature and our thousands of lakes.
Research: Drop did a market research of outdoor saunas and found out there was no minimalistic Scandinavian design saunas and therefore wanted to create one.
Challenge: Hardest part of the process was redoing the prototype until it was perfect.
Realization and Technology: The turnkey outdoor buildings, Drop sauna, and Drop lodge, are crafted with the same Finnish precision and dedication as our beloved Drop spas and outdoor fires—exemplifying high-quality craftsmanship, premium materials, and meticulous finishing. The Drop Sauna is constructed from CLT, which is one of the most eco-friendly and durable building materials available.
Operation and Interaction: Drop Sauna and Drop Lodge are places for relaxation and ideal places to re-connect with yourself and with the surrounding nature. Minimalistic beauty from Finnish nature.
Project Duration and Location: The project started 2021 in Naantali, Finland and finished in November 2023 at the same place.
