About Campus Gifts Metal Bookmark

Campus Gifts is a metal bookmark designed for students. The design combines iconic campus architecture with ribbon-like elements that connect the buildings. Colorful patterns recall daily campus life and pleasant moments. The bookmark is made of copper, with graphic shapes cut from the metal and colored patterns added by digital printing. Two sizes are produced, 100 by 30 by 0.5 millimeters and 80 by 40 by 0.5 millimeters. The bookmark is placed between pages to mark a reading position and to recall school years.

At the heart of the design concept lies the use of ribbon-like elements to interconnect several iconic buildings, symbolizing the spirit of students navigating the campus with a sense of ease.
Research: The overall design, characterized by delicate lines and composition, creates a tranquil and elegant atmosphere that guides viewers to contemplate the essence of beautiful campus moments. Whether during busy study sessions or leisurely times, this bookmark can serve as a connection for students to reminisce about their campus years.
Challenge: Cutting and engraving metal materials can be more intricate compared to paper, requiring designs that are more meticulous and precise. Intricate patterns, details, and color combinations can raise the complexity of both design and production. The process entails a series of techniques such as laser color printing, polishing, painting, and coating.
Realization and Technology: Cutting graphic shapes on metal copper material, and digitally printing colored patterns.
Operation and Interaction: When individuals need to turn a page, they should delicately take out the bookmark from between the pages, proceed to flip the page to the desired position, and then reinsert the bookmark to mark their new reading position.
