The streamlined undulations reveal organic forms, and the work itself reflects a dynamic sense of extension and movement. The combination of karat gold and black chalcedony creates a rich sense of space and gravity flow, showing the power of styling and exquisite craftsmanship.
About Jiancheng Tian

Design Details
- Unique Properties
- Attempt to describe disordered and steady-state forms of motion for chaotic systems. The regular accretion disk outline and the black sphere in the middle reveal the expansion and structure of the universe. The streamlined shape reveals an organic form, reflecting a dynamic sense of extension and destiny. Experience the silence of space and trace the traces of existence. Jewelry is an extension of man, and man is an extension of the universe, and the two coexist harmoniously.
- Inspiration
- Inspired by the black hole Gargantua, various functional models and abstract mathematical concepts under the chaos theory continue to create various hypotheses. Designs try to incorporate trends that recur over time into jewelry. Orderly line shape connects the jewelry with the changes of celestial bodies, showing the beauty of flow. Only the love and knowledge runs through the entire time and space, and it is specially designed for young people who yearn for the stars and the unknown.
- Research
- The purpose of Gargantua is to create an organic shape with a fashionable style. On the one hand, it reflects the designer's desire to express the connotation of oriental culture and philosophy, and on the other hand, it can also produce an aesthetic feeling that echoes with the universe when worn. Therefore, the designer spends a lot of time studying the calculation equations and laws of the chaotic function model, and adopts a hollow structure in the design, and uses hightech modeling and precision technology to present the work.
- Challenge
- The research on mathematical functions is interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary, and it is a very painful and lengthy challenge to explore the beautiful shape in the huge function calculation and model evolution.
- Realization and Technology
- 3D designed and 3D printed jewelry, the material is 18k gold, sandblasted metal jewelry craft technology, Chinese black chalcedony.
- Operation and Interaction
- The design boldly presents sculptural visual effects, as well as the sense of reality and contradiction of functional models, presenting dynamic shapes with smooth outlines and carefully designed parametric structures. The sandblasted material brings a subtle dreamy oriental mythology. The wearer can feel the creativity brought by the combination of 3D technology and artistic design, as well as the mysterious and solemn atmosphere of the black hole, which conveys a unique temperament.
- Project Duration and Location
- The project started in Shanghai in August 2022 and will be completed in Shenzhen in January 2023.
