About Tim Siahatgar

My name is Tim Siahatgar, and I am an architectural engineer based in Irvine, California. Having graduated from a leading architectural engineering program, my career has been marked by a deep interest in modularity and flexible structures. As an expert in building construction, I recognize that the connectors within a building's structure are crucial for creating solid and rigid constructions. Whether it involves wood-to-wood lumber connections using nails, glue, or bolts, or metal-to-metal connections through bolts or welding, the strength of a building hinges on these essential connections.

Award Record

This recognition makes Tim Siahatgar a winner of 1 A' Design Award.

About the A' Building Materials and Construction Components Design Award

The A' Building Components Design Award is an international design competition recognizing good building components by best brands and designers worldwide. It is organized within the A' Design Award & Competition and is open to building material manufacturers, building material brands, construction product designers and industrial designers from all countries. Typical entries include bricks, beams, windows, doors, insulation materials and roofing materials. The awarded building components designs are published at https://dezigners.org/design-category/building-components

About A' Design Award & Competition

Organized annually since 2008, A' Design Award & Competition is an international, juried design accolade. The competition is open to entries from all countries. The philanthropic mission of the A' Design Award is to advance society through good design, by recognizing and promoting superior products, projects and services that benefit society, and by creating a global awareness and appreciation for good design practices and principles. Nominations are peer reviewed and evaluated anonymously by an international grand jury panel of established academics, design professionals and press members against predetermined criteria such as functionality, ergonomics, engineering, presentation, innovation, usability, sustainability and technology, with score normalization applied to remove biases. Awards are conferred at Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Iron levels. Eligible laureates receive the A' Design Prize, which includes the award trophy, the certificate of design excellence, the hardcover yearbook, a lifetime license to use the A' Design Award winner logo, exhibition of awarded works, an invitation to the gala night and award ceremony in Italy, inclusion in the World Design Rankings and Designer Rankings, and public relations and publicity services. Registration, uploading a work and receiving a preliminary score are free of charge, and Professional and Digital Edition laureates are not contractually obliged to pay further fees to claim the A' Design Prize. Almost any architectural residential and commercial buildings design up to 3 stories can be built with this certified method of modular prefab construction.
Inspiration
With my many years of research, knowledge and experience in the design and building industries, I was able to come up with an invention of durable interlocking connectors and the design of extrusion sections programming to create a unique Structural Aluminum Framing for architectural modular prefab design.
Research
After many years study and research start designing and manufacturing the actual structural extrusions and interlocking clamp by design. Next step to start testing the framing sections, wall and roof diaphragm at a professional certified laboratory in Los Angeles for many years based on California and international building codes. The testing result analyses and calculated by expert Structural Engineers to make sure the MHS structures meeting the Seismic Design categories A-F.
Challenge
The unique simplicity and flexibility of this structure truly allows it to sit lightly on land and adapt to the nature of its environment as an optimal example of sustainability.
