About U Side Table

U is a side table supported by two U-shaped metal structures. The crossing base forms several triangular areas that provide stability and a clear visual rhythm. The two U-shaped tubes are joined by screws placed in hidden positions for a neat appearance. The tabletop is made of natural cherry wood, and the metal frame is offered in different colors. The side table measures 440 by 440 by 480 millimeters. The compact and lightweight form is easy to move and suits small spaces, holding cups, books and decorations.

Design Details

Unique Properties: It’s a side table supported by U-shaped structures. Bringing forth the new through a conventional crossing structure, the base forms multiple triangular areas, which not only ensure the overall stability, but also offer a feast to eyes. The mix of clean lines and modest silhouette shows its cordial personality, while the contrast of the lines and its surface offers a strong visual impact.
Inspiration: When you are sitting on the balcony and want a cup of coffee or a book, is it particularly convenient and pleasant to have a side table next to it? It was in this situation that I considered designing an elegant side table.
Research: It’s a side table supported by U shaped structures.
Challenge: Minimal screws, balance of side table, structure of two U-shaped round tubes, proportional relationship.
Realization and Technology: Aside from an eye-pleasing appeal, the U-shaped structures give priority to stability and have been verified by stability and center of gravity tests. Two U-shaped tubes are connected by screws, which are hidden in covert positions for a neat look. Boasting a simple design and compact size, this side table is lightweight and easy to move, making it an ideal replacement for a bulky coffee table as well as a chic sidekick to your sofa or armchair for small spaces.
Operation and Interaction: In terms of materials, the designer took advantage of the features of metal, bending and forming at once, and takes consideration of the position and proportional relationship between the big U and small U structures to meet both stability and beauty. The table top is crafted of natural cherry wood, offering a handy landing spot for water glasses, books, and decorations. Paired with a metal frame with different colors available, this side table meets the preferences of various customer groups. With so many characteristics in one side table, it finds the balance between art and utility.
