Regarding Simple Assembly Poster Frame

Simple Assembly is a modular display rack for posters. The system uses four sizes of aluminium alloy frame rods and three accessories. Each rod has a concave and convex joint, with a magnet at one end and metal at the other, so rods connect in straight or L-shaped forms. Rubber connectors join up to three rods, and clamps hold the poster in place. A U-shaped lock fixes the rack to a lamp post. One set can be built for small posters or for medium exhibition walls, so fewer frames are left unused.

Design Details

Unique Properties: The general display stand is designed as a modular display stand. Users can assemble and fix the display stand by means of magnetic absorption and rubber interference matching with four frame rods of different sizes and three accessories. It solves the problem that a single exhibition frame only supports posters of specific size on the market, and when users prepare posters of various sizes, some exhibition frames may be left idle and wasted, and the installation process is complicated, exhibition walls need professional installation and so on.
Inspiration: How to improve the utilization rate of exhibition racks by purchasing a set of exhibition racks that can be combined into various sizes? Finally, I came up with the design and assembly of childhood toys, Lego and snowflake inserts. Finally, through model verification, I decided to use snowflake, which is more simple and ingenious in form and can be fixed and assembled only on concave and convex sides.

The installation steps of the display stand are tedious and the installation time is long. In addition, sometimes the hand-stretched hooks will cause scratches, and there is a certain risk. 3. Challenge: In the preliminary investigation of this design, in addition to the online and offline information collection, the fishbone analysis method is also used for research and analysis, and several main reasons for the low utilization rate of the display frame are analyzed, such as inconvenient handling, single size type of support, disassembling vulnerable hands and so on...
Realization and Technology: Connector:RubberMaterial, can choose the number of inserted steel pipe according to the demand, can connect up to three steel pipes. (Rack) Clamp: The upper part is made of plastic and the lower part is made of silica gelTo connect with the display frame, easy to fix the poster quickly. U-shaped lock structure: Metal oxide is used for the material to prevent damage and be more durable. The display rack can be fixed on the lamp post and other temporary displays.
Operation and Interaction: According to the size of the poster, select accessories. Assemble the frame by magnetic suction. Connect the support by rubber interference fit This exhibition frame is more convenient and fast to carry, just select the required number of pipes and accessories to carry. In terms of use, it is out of the way of using the original exhibition rack. There is no need to worry about the mismatch between the size of the exhibition rack and the size of the poster.
Project Duration and Location: The project started in March 2020 in CHONGQING and finished in June 2020 in CHONGQING, the model is on display at the Luo Zhongli Art Museum in Chongqing in June 2020.
Specifications: This modular display frame has four sizes of frame rods, namely 15mm x 570mm; 15 mm x 620 mm; 15 mm x 950 mm; 15mm x 1020mm. Users can select the frame rod of the poster to be displayed according to their needs and build the exhibition frame. Through model verification, this design can be assembled into a small exhibition frame supporting the common poster size (1000mmx600mm) at the minimum, and a large exhibition frame supporting the common poster size (4000mmx4000mm) at the maximum.
