More About Codice Wine Bottle

Codice is a packaging design for a wine bottle, inspired by medieval codices. Codices were handwritten books made before the invention of the printing press, in which the capital letters became works of art. The label is produced on paper with reliefs and stamping and is applied to a Bordeaux bottle. A sheet of sealed vegetal paper wraps the bottle and carries illustrations of the symbols of the winery. The paper is closed with sealing wax at the top, so the content is revealed only when the wrapper is opened.

Award Record

This recognition makes Estudio Maba a winner of 13 A' Design Awards. The awards were granted between the 2016 - 2017 and the 2019 - 2020 editions of the A' Design Award & Competition.
