Der Designer wurde beauftragt, diese Wohnung am Meer für eine Familie mit mehreren Generationen einzurichten. Entsprechend dem Kundenwunsch nach einem Wochenendurlaub legt das Gesamtdesign Wert auf Komfort, Frische und Flexibilität. Die Liebe der Familie zum Sammeln und Geselligkeit wurde in die Layoutkomposition einbezogen, insbesondere im gemeinsamen Raum. Wenn Kunden in diesem Apartment einchecken, können die Bewohner ihre Lieblingszimmer frei wählen, in denen sie übernachten möchten, beispielsweise beim Einchecken im Hotel.

Einzigartige Eigenschaften: One highlight is a sense of freshness. Apart from client demand for a weekend retreat, a refreshing and dynamic interior which enables the multi-generational family to escape from the bustling city life is preferred. Meanwhile, we hope that every time when visitor arrives there is something unexpected round the corner.

Basically, most of the areas could have access to the panoramic ocean views and far-reaching greenery, thus provide the ideal setting of getting away from hectic city life.
Abmessungen & Verpackung: This Apartment is about 1379 square feet. Based on the first come first served principle, there is no fixed bedroom for occupants. Everyone could freely choose their favorite rooms depending on their mood and preference for particular date and time. In addition to the sleeping quarters, the layout provides various options for dining, including the sitting area, living space and balcony. Furthermore, a recreation area for playing Mahjong is included.

Produktionstechnologie: Each of the zones is adapted and custom designed to respond to the brief of creating a weekend retreat. To minimize distractions, the designer introduced a precise palette of beige and light grey, while strategically populating the interiors with gold accents by adding bronze steel trimmings across the abode and statement lighting fixtures hang above the dining table. Meanwhile, designer carefully arranged paintings with illuminating sea waves graphic motifs to echo with the residence natural surroundings and far reaching views.
Designherausforderung: When being tasked with remodeling a four bedroom residential apartment for a multi-generational family, searching for an equilibrium design to suit the entire family was one of the designer foremost concerns. As such, neutral palette such as champagne gold, grey and light beige could be seen throughout the residence. Textured light grey wall covering matched with contrasting hues to strike the balance between warm and cold palette, thus laid out a balanced, elegant and chic feeling.
Forschung: The designer was commissioned to furnish this seaside apartment for a multi-generational family, keeping with client desire for a weekend retreat. The outcome is an inviting, zones are divided by using a subtle floor change of grey marble and wooden floors, as well as the floor to ceiling screen partition or TV panel. Based on the first come first served basis, occupants can freely choose their favorite rooms to sleep over, just like checking in to the hotel.
Inspiration: In designing this seaside apartment, transforming the space into a refined yet inviting weekend retreat was one of the requirements raised by our client. Inspired by the ritual of checking in to the hotel, the designer came up with the concept of first come first served so as to fulfill client wish of freshness. To achieve this, a modern luxury decoration style would be applied to the interiors so as to strike the balance between hectic urban life and relaxing resort living.
Projektdauer: The project started in May 2018 and finished in January2019 in the Wu Kai Ha, Hong Kong.
Betriebsablauf: For this project, each of the family members selects and occupies a dedicated area of their own, but gather with a spacious shared space located at the heart of the residence. As such, the balanced, refined-yet-inviting communal space comprises a sitting area, living area, dining space, semi-open kitchen and balcony, thereby becomes the central point for socializing, entertaining and gathering.
