If you do not have a separate office, it can be placed anywhere in your home. You still want an organized, clean workspace. Everything is concealed when not in use and designed for comfort and ease of use. “The desk includes a light that illuminates the countertop without glare, integrated Wi-Fi speakers that are Alexa-enabled, concealed wire management behind the sliding door, charging under-mounts for phones and tablets, a mailbox for miscellaneous items, and a modular plant system on the top shelf according to standard sizes available at all box retailers. Tecnulugia di Pruduzzione: The desk is crafted from sturdy materials that form a durable product. Its legs, mailbox, and wishbone crossbar, constructed from beautiful solid walnut-stained wood, provide solid support. Sfida di Designu: Developing this product presented an enormous challenge, as it involved multiple disciplines, from metalworking and electrical engineering to illumination. Bringing this concept to fruition demanded collaboration between a variety of manufacturers and stakeholders.
Ricerca: My initial research on user experience laid the foundation for me to study similar challenges being tackled by competitors in the industry and evaluate their solutions. To further deepen my understanding, I read several pieces of literature related to ergonomics and current technology, as well as explore components that have been designed to solve comparable issues.
Ispirazione: The project's genesis was my desire to create a personal workspace that is clutter-free integrating all my tools. During a significant shift in our time, many people find themselves working out of their homes, so the need to be comfortable and organized while conserving space is more important than ever. Furthermore, the object should blend seamlessly into the aesthetics of your current surroundings. I was inspired by mid-century design and organic quality but with a contemporary feel.
Durata di u Prugettu: This project began in January 2021, spanning two years of designing, from preliminary concept sketches to computer-generated drawings to 3D models, to eventually constructing multiple variations of the prototype before finally completing the desired version.
Flussu Operativu: Utilizing the desk allows for a seamless and convenient workflow as all of the necessary technological tools are always accessible. A wave of the hand is all it takes to turn on the light, and charging a phone or tablet is just as easy with an undermount charger . Moreover, the desk features Wi-Fi and Alexa-enabled speakers, making it simple to use voice commands or a smartphone to play music. To add a personal touch, the desk's top has specifically designed modules that house a standard size plants or a picture frame.
