Twiny je multifunkcionalna sofa dizajnirana za djecu u domovima, vrtićima i ustanovama za dnevni boravak djece. Sofa izgleda kao razigrano sjedište, a skriva podesivi sto sa prostorom za odlaganje. Razdvajanjem dvije jedinice sofe otkriva se skriveni sto. Okretanjem gornjeg dijela stola mijenja se njegova visina i otvara pregrada za odlaganje. Modularni dijelovi mogu se rasporediti u različite postavke za igru, učenje i opuštanje. Tapacirung je izrađen od recikliranog poliestera. Sto je izrađen od prerađene drvne sječke i reciklirane plastike.

Istraživanje: The research aimed to develop multifunctional, space-saving children's furniture that promotes versatility, safety, and sustainability. Using a mixed-methods approach, data was collected through interviews and home observations. The findings underscored the need for adaptable, safe, and easy to maintain furniture with integrated storage. Insights emphasized the value of multifunctional furniture in fostering creativity and independence. This research culminated in the creation of Twiny furniture, a versatile, modular design that maintains organized and clutter-free spaces.
Inspiracija: Twiny multifunctional sofa was inspired by the increasing need for adaptable furniture in small living spaces, particularly for families with children. Observing how limited space can restrict children's ability to explore and engage in creative play, I aimed to design a piece that not only maximizes space but also encourages independence and imagination. My motivation stemmed from the desire to create a functional, safe, and easy to maintain solution that meets the needs of modern families.
Trajanje projekta: The Project started in Cologne in May 2024 and was completed in Cologne in August 2024.
Tok rada: Twiny multifunctional furniture is designed for easy interaction and transformation, making it perfect for children. To reveal the hidden table, simply separate the two sofa units. By turning the top part of the table, children can adjust its height and access the storage compartment. The modular pieces can be reconfigured into different layouts to suit various activities, fostering creativity and independence.
