O dizajnu Maya Viseća lampa

Maya je viseća lampa inspirisana umjetnošću izrade nakita drevne Mezoamerike. Metalno tijelo ima zlatnu boju i oblik obrnutog polumjeseca. Obje strane su prekrivene prozirnim livenim staklom sa sitnim geometrijskim ornamentima. Brojne fasete prelamaju svjetlost i bacaju uzorke zraka na obližnje zidove. LED izvori na obje strane prekriveni su mat difuzorima za meku i ravnomjernu svjetlost. Lampa visi na dvije žice spojene dekorativnim cilindričnim elementom. Visina je podesiva, a nekoliko lampi može formirati višeslojne kompozicije.

Many faces refract the flow of light and create many spectacular reflections. This effect symbolizes the precious stones that decorated the jewelry of ancient Americans. The collection consists of a suspended lamp that is suspended on two wires. They are connected by a decorative cylindrical element that creates an elegant silhouette.

Tehnologija proizvodnje: The lamp is made of metal with LED light sources on both sides. They are covered with matte diffusers in order to create a matte diffuse light. On the front and back side, the lamp is covered with transparent cast glass with small geometric ornaments. Wires are connected by a special element. Thanks to the design of the lamp, spectacular rays of light are created.
Dizajnerski izazov: After choosing the theme for the project, as well as the silhouette and color combinations of the subject, it was necessary to come up with a concise and thoughtful technical implementation. For this, LED technologies were chosen. Thanks to this, a laconic silhouette was preserved. Fasteners for glass of a simple shape was also made, so as not to distract the viewer from the main image. An element also appeared that connects the wires, which makes the overall image of the lamp more reminiscent of jewelry than a regular lamp.
Istraživanje: The main task was to study the origins of ancient Mesoamerican cultures. We wanted to study their jewelry art and find a match in the silhouettes of these products, learn about the religious and cultural heritage of this tradition, and also learn about the attitude of these ancient peoples to jewelry and precious materials. We wanted to create an object that, in its silhouette, color scheme and choice of materials, conveyed the spirit of these distinctive cultures.
Inspiracija: The collection is dedicated to the ancient cultures of Mesoamerica. They were famous for their jewelry art, often made of gold. This metal was not a jewel or currency for them, unlike it was for the Europeans of the time. In some Mesoamerican cultures, ornaments had ritual and religious significance. In addition, they often had a similar silhouette in the form of an inverted crescent moon. That's why this form formed the basis of Maya's collection; and the faceted glass symbolizes the precious stones that adorned the jewelry.
Tok rada: You can create multilevel compositions from suspended lamps. Each of them creates interesting rays of light. And if several such lamps are combined into compositions, you get interesting asymmetric light effects indoors. An abstract ornament of light rays will appear on the walls.
