Dizayn Çağırışı: One of the main challenges in the design process was making a truthful and natural combination of Furniture and Plants, this is why the design team looked into tea culture as it has a vivid symbolic identity that immediately brings people to somewhere tranquil and full of nature, where time slows down and nobody is in a hurry. By merging such image into the design, the combination of the plant and the bench seems logical and understandable, thus making the Greenery Bench not only provide a physical space for people to sit and enjoy their time, but also a spiritual garden that bends time where the present is the most important thing in life.
Araşdırma: Many studies have shown that most of us spend 90% of our time indoors, but human have a strong affinity towards nature, a environment devoid of nature would create a mismatch with the potential threat to health and quality of life. It is clear that people who live or work in space with more natural element has significantly lower anxiety level and higher productivity, thus making furniture that integrates plant would help create a more comfortable space for our target audiences.
İlham: With the impact of Covid, the fragile connection between us and nature suffered another critical hit. The designer thinks it’s important to adapt the biophilic design into furniture making as well.
Inspired by the scenic atmosphere of Eastern tea culture, the designer wanted to bring its tranquility with a furniture piece. The design comes from ancient Chinese architecture, it looks like part of an old garden pavilion, yet the minimal silhouette and metal planter provided it with contemporary characteristics.
